If we compare starfield with the last of us, which is more cpu bound?
The former. Ryzen 7600X is capable of 100+ FPS in the TLOU. Starfield... nuff said.

This has nothing to do with GPUs though. Starfield is irreasonably heavy on CPUs, not on GPUs. $500 GPU is more than enough for 1440p60, which is a rough equivalent of 90 FPS at 1080p. $900 GPU, namely 7900 XTX, is theoretically more than enough for 1080p120. It's the CPUs which by no mean are.
Bethesda ALWAYS failed to deliver games with reasonable system resources utilisation so I don't know why you act like it's a new thing or AMD/nVidia's fault. It's Bethesda's fault.

From my post I'm not sure how you deduced that it was anyone but Bethesda's fault?

If a 13900K and RTX 4090 can't even give you 120 fps at 1080p...

The fact there are people out there that are perfectly fine with this because DLSS gets them to 160 fps on a $1,600 GPU with one of the fastest processors on the market is insane to me.

"Your game doesn't run properly? Oh, just apply this image-blurring, resolution-decreasing magical slider, and now you've got double the FPS! Next time you won't be paying for performance, you'll be paying for the next version of the image-blurring, resolution-decreasing magical slider." Disgusting! Purely disgusting.

People are also a huge part of the issue.

When i look at it again, of course TLOU have higher fps because it is on 720p resolution. Meanwhile starfield use 1080p resolution. Its. Not apple to apple comparison i think...i know cpu matter less with higher resolution but is there comparison with the same resolution?

The point is Starfield gets exactly the same framerate on resolutions below UW1440p. It's heavily CPU bound and 720p result would be exactly the same.

AMD is talking tall about its super low CPU prices in Germany:

Ryzen 5 5500 €94
Ryzen 5 5600 €129
Ryzen 5 5600X €129
Ryzen 7 5700X €155
Ryzen 7 5800X €165
Ryzen 9 5900X €279
Ryzen 7 5800X3D €289
Ryzen 9 5950X €419

Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 7000 hits new super highs and less and less people should be able to afford normal graphics... except if they like to settle with something cheap and slow, like older Radeon RX 6400/6500 XT

Radeon RX 7600 285€
Radeon RX 7700 XT 480€
Radeon RX 7800 XT 562€
Radeon RX 7900 XT 830€
Radeon RX 7900 XTX 980€

Ryzen 9 5950X is a super high end CPU which should cost at least 799€, if not 999€.

While Radeon RX 7900 XTX's price should be not more than 799€.

There must be more balance in these pricing forming processes, instead what you see is complete chaos and lack of logic, reason, even justice if you wish.
