Hi guys,

After spending the better part of the day on updating/bricking/repairing my GPU and updating BIOS and settings for my mobo, here I come hopping for a easy way to success.

The issue: Resizable BAR - disabled

Video card revision: 1.0, vBIOS was F2 -> F3 with reBAR support
Mobo B365M DS3H (rev. 1.0) -> in the latest BIOS update, includes reBAR support which I have enabled (auto) alongside "above 4G Decode" , but also disabled legacy (CSM), EFI only and GPT partition table.

Now I know that this mobo chipset and CPU normally are not supposed officially but since I have the settings in BIOS isn't that enough?

Do you guys have any other ideas what I could try beside upgrading my setup?

Thank you!

Weird, for the resizable bar option in BIOS are you sure there's no 'enable' option in addition to the 'auto' setting?

FWIW, maybe you should try contacting gigabyte technical support or if they have user forums post your question there.

Just for the record w/my Asrock Taichi z390 and a 9700k I managed to get resizable bar enabled.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
No other option than auto, seems that gigabyte closed all their forums, probably after the PSU fiasco?? who knows.. reddit seems somewhat dead also.

There are also other leads I could pursue, but I'd rather solve this the official way..

LE: the culprit could be the Mobo or the negotiation between the two, because as you can see the GPU is listed as supporting 8GB of BAR

You can also check resizable bar status in NVCP under help --> system information just to double check GPUz.

I'd try contacting gigabyte technical support, although I don't hold out much hope for them helping you out much.

Solved it by patching the motherboard bios..

Thanks for concern @80251 !

Even the Devs of this UEFI-Mod did not know that Resizable Bar is from the PCIe Version 2.0 Specs. This is astonishing. On my Asrock X370 Killer SLI (PCIe 3.0) i could activate Resizable Bar with the Stock UEFI (7.30) and a Ryzen 1700X. So many misinformation when you Google for this Problem, mostly on Reddit and scattered from Low-Level Call Center-Support-Agents... they all deny that Rebar could work on older Hardware. Thankfully Asrock made it possible without modding and i use a Intel Arc GPU - which is without Rebar unusable.
