Gaming Upgrade to an old build, If possible... 600-700$

Hey folks, my current old build is:

i5-4590 3.3Ghz
Gigabyte H97-HD3
G.skill 2X8 DDR3 666Mhz
Radeon RX570 PULSE 4GB
Crucial 232GB SSD SATA
*Not sure about my PSU - Should be Corsair 550W or smth..

I have just got another Generic build with:
i5-10400 2.9Ghz
Asus Prime H410M-E
Kingston 2X8 DDR4 2666Mhz
Generic 500W PSU
*No case

I'm wondering if this new rig with 10th Gen i5 even worth putting that 600-700$ budget for gaming? (1080p)

I own 2 Monitors:
24" 1920X1080 (Main for Gaming)
32" 2560X1080

I Also owe 2X old SATA SSD's of 232GB and 480GB and 1TB WD SATA
No need for peripherals.

Oh then yeah, for sure. It'll get you going for a while until you save up for a fresh system. Like say, 14th Gen Intel, or even later. The 10th is just fine for 1080P Gaming. You can definitely get a decent PSU, case, and GPU for $700. I'd rock it.

Your PSU can handle 10400 plus a GPU like 3060 ti or 6700 xt and you'll have some budget left for future upgrades. Hit it!

P.S. For the first build I don't see any significant upgrade, if your RAM runs at 1333 MT/s, except maybe for a larger, newer sata SSD (yours is MX200?).

why not? it is very modern kit and you can reuse the parts later. ..unless you can sell it for a good price.. than alternative is to build something on 7500f/7700 and b650.

i would invest in gpu, nvme drive, nice matx case - you can reuse those later anyway

Exactly. Plenty of room. Although 7800 XT's are going to be backordered for a while it seems.

Power Supply I'd say 850W Gold Rated and you're good for upgrades later. Easily had for $90-100USD but I am not sure what the market is over there.

i'd sugest to try get case and psu locally as they are quite bulky and transportation cost could be high

And for the GPU, for my region prices - The lowest price I've found for:
Gigabyte Radeon RX 6700 XT GAMING OC 12G is ~620$
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7700 XT GAMING OC 12G is ~680$

The 7700XT would be WAY more powerful?

I do not have a PSU for the new build, as I see now I'll have to pass the 7700XT to 6700 in order to get a decent PSU with the budget.

Not sure what power supplies are available to you, but I'd look at Super Flower Leadex, Seasonic, Corsair, and Be Quiet!. If you were in the US and there were certain models of EVGA supplies available, I'd say go for those too, but their support outside of the US is not great and their super cheap model power supplies are...not known to be good. With the brands above, let us know what you find that is gold+ rated at least 650W (750-850 is better if you're planning future upgrades, but I'm not sure you need that much with the parts you're looking at).

The other i5-10400 comes in a Generic Case that have a 500W PSU.

I first thought about "swapping" between both but after reading the forum feedbacks I realize they wouldn't carry the rigs anyway.

1)Generic 500w PSU means from HP or Dell prebuilt? These are not high quality, but acceptable. Personally I would replace it only with a high quality branded PSU, 550-650w or keep it instead of buying a budget oriented branded one.
2)The case is a very large discussion. Size is the first question for now and for future upgrades (including tower cooler). Also airflow - fan number, glass panel, RGB etc
E.g. my case is relatively large with enough width for the Noctua NH-U14S, all black and has also an optical drive. The son of a friendly couple used a CoolerMaster MasterBox NR200P, it's a mini tower with tempered glass and needs a SFX form PSU. There are hundreds of options, the list should be shortened.

for the PSU - None of them, it's a "sohoo" ATX-550W. Not sure if it's usable (?)

as for the case - I'm looking at this upgrade to hold like ~2 years, then buying a complete new rig with full budget, so I would say something quiet and basic, glass sided panel could be nice, but I can't demand on that budget.
