I wouldn't consider either filler content I would say why but it would be semi spoilerish lol.

Ok, so I was pretty blown away by this game ... for about 25 hours. After that I realized that the game is incredibly empty. One thing is that once you master the combat it's very repetitive. The story is ... the world is pretty cool sure, but the story itself is (IMO) not that interesting at all. And the game itself is an open world game with a million fast travel points on the map, and there are some skills (most of which don't matter in the end), there aren't many choices... BTW, I turned of most UI elements as I found the MMO-style quest tracking staff to be incredibly distracting and annoying.

So it's gorgegous, entertaining filler. The game was so entertaining it took me 25 hours to realize there's not much to it.

This may be my first full price PC game purchase. But I'll still wait for reviews of the PC port first. No buggy messes, please.

They come like 2-3 years usually after their PS launch so you would hope so. Some still have issue though.

Ha! I think the only things I haven't done are the Hunting Grounds and the Power cells for the super armor. Done main quest and all the side quests and found all the various artifacts. I think I don't like the Hunting Grounds because they want you to fight a particular way. Yeah sorry, I gotta cheez and weasel hunting my way, lol.

And the Weapon Tutorials! I've done zero of those because same reason of course.

The super armor was so OP in the original PlayStation release basically made you unstoppable they patched it pretty quick though lol

I mean the story. I cannot be assed to to all the hunting grounds. Filler content in a game that is already all filler content.
But... those hunting grounds are awesome. I liked them anyway. A few annoying ones, indeed, but most of them good ways to learn weapons too.

I loved the ThunderJaw one regardless of how ridiculous it was.

Oh heck yeah, I stay as far away as possible to where it can barely detect me, make sure I got my Arrow Breaker armor on and hit it with Tear to rip off its everything then Fire and Damage. 3 Different Shadow bows with 3 Coils of the same buff for each.

And close to the main story end where you're trapped inside with the Thunderjaw? I was stuck on that damn thing for about 6 months. I finally turned down the difficulty but afterwards realized I didn't manage my potions/bows/armor as well as I should have...

Expect this to be much heavier than Starfield it looks 1000x better.

Starfield doesn't exactly look bad, but it's not the reason it's so heavy, it's just the engine that's terribad and 0 CPU optimization. Bethesda promised patches, soo...

Well, looking forward to this game here. I enjoyed the original Horizon a lot, even though NPC interactions were about the shallowest I've ever seen in a game of its genre. We know where this is going anyway.

I was being mildly sarcastic. I don't mind Starfields visuals.

I took it out by laying down as many blast wires and traps as I could.

I thought the same too, how ever the story was alright and as for fast travel i never used them as i don't in most game more so single player games.

I did a few of the proving grounds but found that a total drag.

I will wait until the DLC comes out for it most likely and then decide.

It's weird how long Ghost of Tsushima and Bloodborne are taking. People are clamoring for these games. Having said that, I'll probably be buying Forbidden West, playtested it a while ago and it seemed like a very good game.

Yeah will prob def pick this up.

Enjoyed the first and one of the only games I have clocked more recently.

Just haven't been able to get into anything lately
like I did this game. Decent graphics, gameplay and kinda open world.

I really seem to get into games that have a bit of medieval about them, like the bow you use that has a modern twist of technology. Loved it!

The first one had a lot of bugs on pc but they fixed them pretty quickly.

You'd be surprised the Decima engine is incredibly well made, it's very lightweight for looking so incredibly good. There's actually a presentation on their cloud system and how they managed to substantially optimize it so the frame times were as low as they could be, while still looking amazing, so I have high hopes for performance.
Death stranding also runs on Decima, and while it's not anything too absurdly complex, it still looks gorgeous while running on 2 sticks of butter and a 1.5V battery

Played the first game HZD. It's decent but nothing really stands out. It felt like a higher-budget Ubisoft Far Cry game where you hunt animals, craft items, and go to locations of interest on the map. Toward the end of the game I just repetitively grind purple weapon mods for better RNG stats and sticked to the overpowered lodge blast sling and finished the game. Never bothered with new game+

I hope Forbidden West PC port will bring something new to the table.

No clue on ghost of tsushima, but as far as I understand it's a miracle bloodborne ever made it to the market with how horrendous the code appears to be, but this is all hearsay, I don't work at from software nor am I a code reviewer, but it's the most likely reason.

Agree. HZD is surprisingly undemanding. It ran at over 70 fps max setting 1080p on my old crappy 80w 3060 budget laptop.

I love corruption arrows. However, they can only be used on uncorrupted or non-daemonic machines.
