I see no overclock, as the frequency in hwinfo is still 3.4 max, same as stock

2.2 is the stock frequency. 3.4 is just one purposedly fixed number but you can adjust it to whatever in BIOS. You have turbo frequency, which can vary but is enough to keep the 3.4Ghz on high loads and you have core frequency, to make it a fixed frequency. If I recall correctly, my bios at least, allows me to go to 5GHz per core. Of course that's insane and I'm happy with 3.4. If you observe Gigabyte EasyTune, the basic clock is still locked and you can produce an OC. BCLK is always locked on this kind of low end MB. Since it does not feature a clock regulator.

What a strange thing the 3.4 value seen in hwinfo is the same as the cpu stock max freq by intel spec. One might think that is quite peculiar, of all the values, you choose the default one.

So, can you show some benchmark result and HWINFO with any higher, let's say 3.6ghz, reading?

Yes I could. But I'm not sure what you're getting of this because you are abnormally distrustful. So I'll be here waiting for a good reason to please you.

it really reminds me of when we were 6 years old and everyone bragged about his cousin having the unreleased next gen console but not showing it to anyone :D

While it is true you can't unblock BCLK in low end motherboards ( no external pw modulator ) , it seems possible to achieve OC in CPU with an unlocked Gigabyte BIOS. Unlocking is achieved within UEFI itself and requires no external mods.

The performance increase is massive ( double FPS on iGPU ) , with a slight ( not so ) frequency increase. The temperature rise is ... well, non existent . The only reason I'm not pushing further this humble G6900 is because I have no fucking clue of OC other than the basics. But feel free to try if you have some spare bucks and share your results !
Can u share how to unlock the bios ?
as i have the exact same motherboard and bios version and cant seem to find those performance overclock features , thanks

again, lucky You. I have B760M DS3H AX D4, and EasyTune says - platform not supported. lol. also on website there is no easytune for this, and on easytune page stated intel 600 chipsets. just lol.

As I wrote earlier, I switched from x99 where the bios was rather simple, here I have a lot of options that even reading the description to them, absolutely do not tell me anything. Purely theoretically, I should turn on xmp and it should work. But this does not happen.
I chose this motherboard, because the earlier I also had from this company, besides it was relatively cheap, has 80A power supply for the processor and in addition Amazon in France has some problem with the IT system and stubbornly claims that the motherboard that I just mounted, cannot be delivered to me because it is lost so they return my money :) So you see, I can't complain too much;)
now check top-end asus x99 bios.. i f..ed my brain when i have had one, lmfao. these new bioses except high-end-overpriced-mobos are just lol jokes.

Got to any of the supported options ( in settings / system info ) . For instance > settings > pc health status . Enter the latter and then press Esc to return to settings. Enter again to pc health status but this time go back using Right Click in your mouse. New options would be available. Do this with some other options for different settings. What you unlock depends on the bios version. You need an unlocked CPU in order to alter the FSB , unlock BCLK, etc.

So let me repeat you to make sure I understand. You said: "Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start", correct?
