5800x3D won't boost over 3.6Ghz? [SOLVED]

I recently installed a 5800x3d on an Asus Prime B550M-K mobo. DDR4-3200 32gb. I've selected DOCT on in the BIOS (latest version) and updatedchipset drivers etc.

My problem is that my CPU won't boost over 3600Ghz. Using Cinebench R23 and 2024 - it scores 11921 and 723 respectively.
Using OCCT I don't see the speed go over 3550 at any point. I have installed Pbo2 and applied the -30 offset curve - no change except it runs maybe 1-2deg ocoler.

It's running pretty cool anyway - on cinebench 23 it runs at 53celsius, and is only drawing 32.5W power. The PPT/TDC/ limits have not been changed.

I'm not sure why I can't get this CPU to boost?

Interesting how you mention updating chipset drivers, as that is usually the fix from what I've seen... May be worth a full uninstall > reinstall on those? DDU may be able to do it, unsure if it still nukes them alongside the graphics drivers nowadays.

Can you post a screenshot of your BIOS's CPU settings?

That didn't work. It reverted back to 36.
That's very weird, considering that even the base frequency of your CPU should be 3400 MHz, not 3600.

Have you tried a complete CMOS/BIOS reset, and just enabling DOCP afterwards?

It happens sometimes. Flash the bios.

OK, reset the bios by shorting the reset pins. rebooted and got a fresh bios screen. enabled DOCP only - left the main setting on Normal mode, enabled DOCP ...... and BOOM> 4425 Mhz.

I suspect the EZ mode ASUS optimised setting may have been the issue?

Thank you so much.

Might be. I never use EZ mode. ;)

Or if you just recently upgraded your CPU, the BIOS may have been stuck with the old processor's settings.

I'm glad you sorted it out. :)
