Because the issue doesn't show up with Memtest86 on a USB drive. I have seen it run for multiple hours with no errors detected.
In fact, memory errors is the one thing I am not getting. I'm just getting system freezes.
Did you run TestMem5 as I recommended?

check your motherboard's memory qvl
I wish I'd done this before. The current stick I have is not there.
8x2GB is there, but not 1x16 or 2x16.

Did you run TestMem5 as I recommended?
I ran it, but it just runs by default.
I don't know how to set a profile.

get a proper kit for dual-channel
I unfortunately can't - as there are almost no options for 32GB kits from retailers, online or offline.
Man, I should just relocate to the US.

How fast do you get a memory crash with Memtest64? How much memory do you test?
Memtest64 is old and not build for the Windows versions. This can give you problems.

Did you try the memory test of OCCT? https://www.ocbase.com/download/

No, but I could. I'll do it and post results tomorrow.

Nothing crashes, the system just freezes up, and that too only within a few minutes. After that, if you tried to open the Windows Start menu or tried to close the program or some such, it won't respond.
I test at the maximum setting.

Beware of "maximum settings" as those may require more memory than you actually have.

BTW, according to this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/nzybyi
I am running a LPX 16GB @ 3200 CL16 kit (Hynix CJR) on an Asus TUF Gaming x570 Plus with a 5800x.

By default the XMP (DOCP) is not setting the proper timings for this module. I had to do several manual tweaks of the primaries and tertiaries. Also it required a bit more voltage to stabilize (1.39V).

Unfortunately I couldn't get this ram stable above the advertised 3200Mhz rating, but I got some tighter timings out of it (CL14).
Could I do this?

At that setting it tests between 9 and 15 GB of RAM. I only have 4 in use, so there's plenty available. If it tries to use too much it just aborts.

I saw your motherboard supports unbuffered ECC. Are you in any way interested in that?

Lookup your tRFC value. For example... You might want to make another manual adjustment based on what your ram supports.
View attachment 319151
Like the other values that were not coming out right I think the tRFC value was/is probably wrong too and needs to be set manually.
OP can you try to manually put in the correct value based on SPD chip data (XMP values) and see if that helps.

There is likely a UEFI/BIOS tool you can use to look at the ram SPD chip data and get the correct value from the XMP table so you don't have to guess the value.

I don't think I have those available in stores.
Yes not really a typical retail item but if you have a local server parts vender perhaps you might have some luck.

@wNotyarD Do I uninstall and reinstall all my drivers? This thread has your reply in it so I ask: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...-cooperate-with-corsair-vengeance-lpx.306876/

I didn't touch anything on the system since the BIOS update. I confess I jumped from the oldest to the newest one. Now I have to fix whatever parts of this mess that can be fixed.
The chipset driver issue shouldn't affect 500-series chipsets. In that case, the motherboard was a B350.

You dont need to reinstall the drivers after a bios update. At this moment you are looking and doing stuff which isn't related.

I really dont think your issue is hardware related at all. Did you already do a clean Windows install? Do you have software installed for your keyboard, mouse or headset?

One thing that bothers me is the UEFI just straight up applied the wrong XMP values as far as I have been following the conversation. Last time I had something like that happen I punched in some timings and voltages only to not have them realized after boot in Windows. I had to do a UEFI/BIOS reset to defaults and reapply the settings in order to correct the problem. It would really suck for the OP to plug in a different ram kit only to have it do the same thing.

Nothing is stopping them from doing a clear CMOS, just like you did.

It does apply correctly after cst1992 start using D.O.C.P. The high tRFC is likely part of the XMP profile so nothing is strange.

See Thaiphoon output of CMK32GX4M2Z3600C18 which belongs to the official dual channel kit and is also Micron Rev.B:

Funny, so I actually bought two individual sticks, but if they were part of a module, things would have been essentially the same.
Only in the case of a kit they'd have been certified to work correctly together.

Is your system still acting funny outside of memtest64?

No, and no.
The best advice I can give you right now is doing a clean Windows installation with only the boot drive connected. Please use an official iso and not a pirated one.

Write down if you are going to install software so you know when it starts happening but keep the operating system clean/original as long as possible before doing "tweaks" or installing additional software.
Do some basic testing like surfing on the internet and keep that way for some time. Then install a game which was causing random crashes earlier.
If there are no crashes connect the Crucial SSD and see if it still doesn't happen.

I am quite certain your issue is related to the operating system.

Also, I tried resetting the BIOS to defaults. It changed more settings than just the DOCP ones. Here:

Issue still remains, however.

Question: what about the CPU? I have heard tweaking C-State Control or CBS resolves system freezing in idle.
