Lenovo M93P Tiny Fan

please help. i have a Lenovo M93P Tiny and would like to make the fan run FULL speed all the time (an option to control it manually would be nice, but not a deal breaker).

the problem is that when i turn it on, the fan is FULL speed (i can hear it-NOT a problem) and this continues for about 5 minutes. the temps are 90~100f. great. but then it slows down considerably (no more noise, VERY little air exiting case) and the temps climb to 165~175f - this is not acceptable. it will stay at this temp for 5~20 minutes, then the fan will once again go full speed and the temps will drop to 135~140f. than the fan will once again drop to nothing and the temps will climb again. this is stupid bullsh%t behavior. i have enclosed pictures of the fan. maybe there is an inline controller or something (potentiometer?) that i can splice in to the circuit?

Check your BIOS for a fan control setting. Dell and HP have options built into their PCs for this purpose.

If there is not one there, you could splice power in from a 12v source, but then you will get an error message from the PC and this may also cause other poor behavior.

there may be fan control software that would work, but they have a poor track record with OEM PCs.

BIOS set to "Better Thermal Performance", the only other option is "Better Acoustic Performance".
no, you don't splice in 12v - you cut the blue wire to make it run 100%.
no, none of the fan control software programs work.
i need someone who knows about PWM fans to help on this.

100°F is around body temperature, a bit low to aim for.

Did you try a application called Fan Control ?.

EDIT: Always the option for a laptop cooler. Just make sure the fans are in about the right places and blowing the right direction.

I had a bunch of M93p's going through my hands over the past few years, and I can tell you right now that these temps are quite normal.
Another thing to note, is that fans tend to go bad over time(big surprise). Just get a replacement. They are still available.
I had two noisy machines at work. With new fans they are nearly inaudible even at full load. Last one also got upgraded to i7-4770T(which has a 45W TDP comparing to the old 4590T with only 35W TDP). Temps are still good, but I run it in "better thermal performance".
