I'm mostly purist I like stock games (and only do custom patches that fixed gameplay issue and/or fixed graphical issues) but there are exceptions. I'll give the mods a try, thanks for suggesting.I'm not sure how you feel about modding but for me the game was a lot more manageable/tolerable with the Rise of the White Wolf Enhanced Edition mod.
Its mostly quality of life changes and whatnot, the 100% original was a bit too dated mechanics wise for my taste but I really wanted to finish the game for the story/lore since I loved the third game. 'I've also played the serie backwards starting from 3 '
Imo Witcher 2 was alright on its own gameplay wise, the only thing I've used was a ENB/GFX mod.
