Me too! I routinely make upgrades not for new software or games but to make existing software and games run better/faster!
I make upgrades... just because. Games running faster is just a side-effect. :D

I had that feeling in Cities: Skylines. After the city reaches a certain size, traffic comes to a complete halt and there's nothing I can do about it. I can't just demolish half the city to build wider roads.

Oh man, this is really, really good!

Think Mount & Blade, except turn based tactical combat. There's an overworld map with secrets and locations. There are towns with inns, markets, questlines everywhere, and there's survival style party management going on. Combat flows well and everything looks great. Why is this not huge and well known?

Yeah D4 plays pretty nicely on a UW monitor, not sure if its still the case but at launch you could actually teleport further with a Sorc on UW resolutions.:D

Aye this season is defo much better than the previous, also that Ball Lightning Sorc build is simply busted. 'probably you are aware of that by now, I wouldn't be surprised if its gets the nerf hammer in S3'
Currently I'm playing games on Gamepass before it expires so no time for me to play D4 but I will go back later. 'made a Shadow Summon Necro up to lvl 70+ but then I had to take a break cause of other games'

I think I'm finishing Dead Space Remake on this weekend then I'm back to finishing Ghostwire Tokyo and then look for something else on gamepass that I can finish before december 16. 'Unless I get another key gifted to me but I highly doubt that:oops:'

Started Alan Wake Remastered, have to say if it wasn't for me being past the two week return window I would have refunded the game. It's been over two years since the game has been released and same graphical glitches reported by users are still present in the game. How the hell you let lighting glitches, shadow maps glitching, z fighting, geometry just going all over the screen in a game like that:
It's suppose to be remastered not re-glitched.

Some of it looks exactly like the issues that people recorded over 10 years ago in the original game, so I can't say that playing the OG is the solution.

I don't remember having that glitch (or any other) when I played the original years ago. Although, a Remaster+2 marathon is coming up, so maybe I'll see it this time.

I wouldn't say it's a game breaker, though. :)

This game seems right up my alley. A combination of RPG character progression, freedom of choice, futuristic setting and turn-based tactics with an isometric perspective always works for me. Thanks for the tip!

Typically I'd be thrilled to check this sort of announcement out. At first glance it appears to satisfy every precondition of a modern game release that is complained about.

Sorry to say my first thought was The Adventures of Tintin on Wii from 2011 - that is a console known for smooth gameplay at cost of graphical output - might've been visually developed beyond a late 2023 PC game calling for reasonable amount of modern processing and gpu power.

The gog version for me keeps crashing in the first mission when I reach the paper you chase after and sometimes the paper is not visable it's a shame plus a buggy key and mouse registration it's just not have I expected and I read the developers are working on fixing the problems.

But for no I am doing RoboCop Rogue City and paused Alan Wake II beause I am not in the mood for it.

Yeah you and others got me triggered on this too... looks damn good, and even says verified on Deck :D

Screenshot might not do this justice, but... 12 hours in, still in just the first region. Got a half-decent idea, I think, of how the game wants you to work on things. I'm honestly impressed. Combat has gotten easy as I overlevel the region now, but man... the classes you get and their differences in combat, the itemization... its really well done. Can't say I've tripped over anything that was silly or annoying, just the game being the game and its rules. Most stuff feels good to use and logical. The game keeps surprising you. At some point I could just knock out and capture a wolf, and then had it run with me as a companion, and then you discover Rangers can actually skill into having wolf companions, even a whole pack, in your band of misfits. Questlines are intertwined and can end up differently, depending on how and in what order they are approached. Party mechanics started getting introduced - I have a captain and a lieutenant now, one can plan strategy for a combat bonus and the other carries a banner like seen below for another combat bonus. Crafting is... immense. There's just so many things to uncover, its crazy.

I think 100+ hours is in the cards here. And they're all enjoyable, exploration, freedom of choice, resource management and combat wise.

And with the hype around WoW Classic Hardcore, gave in and subbed for a month and created a character that will probably die sooner rather than later.

not gonna lie I am tempted to try WoW Hardcore Classic, just feels like 2004 again even though there was no hardcore then, it just gives it that "edge" to enhance the nostalgia. I honestly wouldn't be mad if I made it to level 30, had a blast, and end up dying. as long as i don't invest too much time and have some fun dungeon stories along the way lol

I was watching a streamer the last few days while working, and the idea of taking it slow and being methodical and careful to make sure you don't die seems like a pretty fun/comfy way to play. I know lots of people like to rush through to endgame, but I really like the leveling process. I play the Diablo series the same way - it's all about the journey rather than the destination.

Burning out on Diablo 4... Level 83 Sorcerer, and my previous highest was like 66 on a Necromancer with a lot more hours to get there. Point is I can definitely feel the difference as far as leveling speed, and it helps, but it's not enough to keep me in it for the whole ride.

I have always enjoyed taking my time and reading quests, I was on a role playing server for a long time, it was pretty cool, my guild would always /bow and stay in character, Wyrmest Accord Alliance, that was many years ago though, not sure what its like now.

@freeagent

this is what I am playing and all I do is win win win no matter what!!!
