Ugh, makes me wish I kept my XFX 7950 GX2 11 years ago lol :(
You got me all nostalgic. I went digging through some old pictures. I couldn't find all my builds, but found a few gems:
100_0157.jpg

This was the system that had that memory. It was in a Cooler Master case I honestly forgot I ever owned. I had an Ultra cooler that used a Peltier module on the QX6700 CPU and an 8800GTX (first card I bought after that 7600GT). Looks like I had some sort of blower fan below it. That cooler eventually melted it's molex connector, but it still worked. I RMA'd it anyway. Also a tank of an Ultra PSU from back when those were decent.

Then I got an Antec case, a second 8800GTX for SLI, the second memory kit, and some aftermarket heatsinks for the back-side of the GPUs lol:
100_0261.jpg

Then the x58 setup with tri-channel memory, Thor's Hammer CPU cooler, and a GTX 285:
100_0636.jpg

DUST! (sorry)

Upgraded that with the GTX 470 (put a backplate on it myself!):

Yup! The 680i was the first one I had and they had a special upgrade program (which I think turned into the step-up program) that got me the 780i.

Is that an Antec P180 ? I had a 8800GTX in one a long time ago and it got really hot. Swapped the P180 for an Antec 300 and temperatures were way better and the system was quieter. That i when i learned that "quiet cases" were kind of nonsense, but the build quality was top for the P180.

I had a P180, use to stand on the case it was so well built. Picture date is 2012

Ditto my SOLO. Ok, I never actually stood on it, but know that I could. I've sat upon it countless times.

Yup! It was OK without the HD sled I the front, but I beefed up the fan in the front and when I went to SLI, I put the aftermarket heat sinks on and one stuck out the side, which meant I couldn't put the side panel on anymore. I'm sure that didn't help my dust problem lol. I was really excited when I got the be quiet case I have now and was able to put the side panel on for the first time in years. Even after the sli days for me, the newer cards were too hot with the side panel on, especially because I always overclocked everything lol

I had 2 Antec P180's black and metallic grey, P280 white and P380. Don't remember what happened to black version, but grey one I modded too much. Removing 5,25" drivebays was not that good idea, case lost its rigidity, becoming wobbly mess. I don't even remember why I did that.

P280 I sold to my friend with AMD FX8350, Asus M5A99FX PRO AM3-board, GTX660. This was before Ryzen, I wanted to test how bad was Bulldozer architecture.

P380 is in my nephew's use, with my first Ryzen 7 1700. I would have kept P380, but it takes so much space and is heavy. Also P380 selling price was awful near 300€. As it was not selling so good, I only payed about 100€ for it(New).

. :)it must be cool getting a new old stock unused computer. :)
That's awesome to find such an old BINB laptop that old. Sadly the guy didn't know much configuring it's kinda painful seeing him set things up. Still, like he say its the stuff of dreams getting laptop during that time as it's unbelievably expensive and because LCD is still kinda brand new the tech isn't there for anything serious.

Continuing the quest for the Ultimate SNES, I've bought some chrome labels for the clear SNES shell. Came from Poland!

DAMN that looks nice! Though I must admit that Super Famicom/PAL SNES in overall looks hella better than the NTSC American one. ;)

I had a P280 white back in the day and damn I loved that case. Had a X58 setup as a daily driver in it back in 2015

Has anyone bought one if these mini consols, and which one is your fav one ? Or do you have them all? o_O
I want to get one of them but not sure which one to get.? o_O I think my fav is the AMEGA all though it only has 25 gameso_OI know you can add games.
I do like the full size c64 because of its full size. And the Atari with its 125 games i know you can add games to all of them ,but the Atari is more complex to do that it seems .

.
.
It would be nice if they made a new full sized AMEGA but i understand that they have not sold enough of them to JUSTIFY making a full sized version of it.

I have the new PI5 on pre order ,i dare say you can do all those games and more on the PI5. Another of are fav you tubers
Having said all that i would still like to get one of the consols :)
I use my old 2500K PC as an emulation station, runs everything fine. :)

Though I always prefer real hardware when playing older games so that's why I buy used games from time to time.

Right? I hate the blocky, purple and lavender mess we got in North America. It's pathetic by comparison.

Nah, Win10. 2500K feels too modern to run XP. :D
Not laughing AT you so much as just thought this was funny! I currently have a Core i5 4570 running Windows XP...

Right? I hate the blocky, purple and lavender mess we got in North America. It's pathetic by comparison.

Not laughing AT you so much as just thought this was funny! I currently have a Core i5 4570 running Windows XP...
Exactly, the American SNES looks like a cheap toy but SFamicom/PAL SNES looks cool.

To be honest, I just hate to downgrade the usable RAM amount if want to use my Sandy rig (it has 24GB RAM), and almost all GOG games on my collection runs fine on Win10. If I need more compatibility, I'll grab my old hp nx7000 laptop (Pentium M 725, 2GB RAM, Radeon 9200M) :)
