Should I request a replacement SSD due to the Sequential Write Speed reducing by 1/2 ?
Would you consider the SSD faulty, or at risk of failure?
Sequential Write advertised up to 3,300 MB/S vs currently 1,137 MB/s.
I purchased a new ready to run pc in June 2022, with MS OS installed on this Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB. I then purchased an additional new 970 EVO Plus for my data in Jan 2023 and ran my first Samsung Magician test. The test results for the MS OS SSD were fine with Sequential Write at 3,467 MB/s, but then when I ran another test in March 2023 it had reduced to 1,071 MB/s, and ever since stayed quite low. I ran my most recent test as Samsung Magician updated to Version 8, on 03 Nov 2023 and although increased slightly is still only half speed at 1,537MB/s.
I've attached Screen shots of Samsung Magician test results
I'm running Windows 11 Home, 23H2.
