Team Group Launches T-Force Siren GD120S AIO SSD Cooler

T-FORCE, the gaming brand under Team Group Inc., today launched the T-FORCE SIREN GD120S AIO Cooler, a unique all-in-one liquid cooling solution for PCIe 2280 SSDs that uses exclusive patented technology (Taiwan Invention Patent No.: I778726). The SSD water block fits perfectly with M.2 2280 SSDs and provides superb cooling performance, enabling SSDs to maintain optimal low-temperatures and stable operation. Based on tests, the SIREN GD120 allows PCIe 5.0 SSDs to stay under 54°C even during heavy load, providing global players with more diverse cooling solutions for M.2 SSD high temperatures.

The T-FORCE SIREN GD120S AIO SSD Cooler boasts excellent cooling performance by equipping the precision aluminium alloy dual-tube water blocks with double-layered thermal pads, which allow the SSD controller chip and IC to be tightly affixed to the copper base of the cooler. WTF. An aio just to cool an SSD. If this is only PCIe gen 5. What about Gen 6, will that be an 240 M aio and with Gen 7, we need freaking 360 mm aio just to cool an SSD as they get faster and hotter.

Do these manufacturers even understand how this works ? The bottleneck here isn't the how huge of a heatsink or AIO you can fit, the bottleneck is the transfer of heat.

If they really want to innovate SSD manufacturers need to switch to an IHS or something, that way this stupidity can finally end, you do not need AIOs to cool 10W.

Looks like an expensive, unwieldy gimmick to me. Even hot E26-based PCI-E 5.0 SSD have a thermal envelope of only about 12W. Water cooling is not justified at all.

& yet no one had a single problem with the RTX 4090 being capable of 600 watts max on in it's bios while also needing a heatsink that's 4 slots tall.

An AIO for SSD, now I've seen everything. Though somewhat a cool idea (pun intended), I can just imagine the mess in a system if it has a CPU AIO etc.
