It's generally used for submersion cooling and its expensive as hell man. Like why burn $1k a gal?

there is a 3m chem plant close to my house i ws thinking of asking them to donate a small amount of it for experiment

You might be able to beg a litre of them maybe.

Not a likely scenario that 3M gives away a sample of a costly product that is intended for the professional market only, even if you're working for a local tech university and need it for scientifical research.

Also a a silver radiator??? Any idea how much that will cost (even if you can find someone to custom make that)? The cheapest Aquacomputer CPU waterblock with only a small .925 silver contact plate already starts at € 220.
And there the silver has only added value (from a thermodynamic point of view) if you remove the IHS (which is made of copper) from the CPU.

For the money you have to invest in this experiment for CPU cooling, you can buy yourself a brand new kick-ass system with adequate traditional pc-cooling :roll:

This is a great fluid for immersion, in large volume. Not as great for a heat conduction fluid in a radiator. Though with a Silver radiator, you might be spoiled for choice. Believe it or not, Mineral Oil would be a solid selection for that use-case-scenario, but again, in volume. You'd need a large radiator and tank with 20x the operating volume.
