Ultra preset but with Screen Space Reflections on Medium. No ray tracing whatsoever because you gotta be kidding me, running RT at 4K on a 6700 XT.

i5-12400F is running at stock (can't overclock it on my motherboard).
RAM is boring dual channel 16 GB (3200 MHz, 16-20-20-38 CR2).
The game is on a non-impressive SATA SSD.
Any kind of frame generation is disabled. GPU is overclocked to effective 2.69 GHz (core) and 2138 MHz (VRAM) with default timings.

Man, no AsRock Phantom Z690 boards out there by you? "Should" be similarly priced to your Gigabyte B760. Those 12400F chips are fun to OC. Lots of gains. I found the stock cooler was only good for 4.6ghz all core though.

Have you tried with the RT enabled? Is it horrible, like really bad?
Gonna slap in a 6700 XT into my kids rig tomorrow, but he's using a 5600G on a 1440 monitor.

I don't know how it goes in other countries but our folks were in so huge demand for 12400F overclocking motherboards that these boards went borderline extinct and cost more than it's ever reasonable to spend. I can easily upgrade to 12700 non-K for cheaper. Yet I feel explicitly no need for that since my CPU is only attemptedly butchered by games and at 4K, I'm heavily bottlenecked by my GPU.

Have you tried with the RT enabled? Is it horrible, like really bad?
Almost unplayable at 4K (without RT lighting enabled; FSR at Performance), averaging 28 FPS with dips to slightly below 20. At 1440p, the picture quality is just not here since it's 1440p stretched on a 2160p display as well as with aggressive FSR additionally destroying said quality. It's smooth but looks like hot garbage. That's why I don't enable RT and as instead, play at high fidelity raster. Your kid will be exceptionally fine at 1440p if they don't enable RT. Ultra preset runs 60 to 70 FPS if you don't turn FSR off. High preset is capable of barely touching 100 FPS.

I am planning to slot an RX 6900 XT in but I don't know, man, 4K + RT is still too much to ask from any AMD GPU other than, perhaps, overclocked 7900 XTX.

This is what you can get at Ultra preset with said Screen Space Reflections set to Medium at 1440p with FSR at Quality.

Yeah, that's ouch. I'm a happy guy at 1080P haha. But my kids monitor is pretty darn sharp. He's lovin it.
Upgrading from an RTX 2060 to the RX 6700 to support the higher resolution more so than worried about Ray Tracing. My questions are only curiosity.
Should the FPS matter to match the refresh rate of the monitor? 144fps/144Hz.

I'd say go for a Raptor Lake chip. The IPC is quite a bit better ~20%. 12700 is just more threads of what you already have.

If that's along the lines of VRR range and Freesync works as intended then no worries, it'll be completely fine even if that's 90 FPS outta 144 Hz.

With 6800, even non-XT, it's not as adventurous as you might think to go 4K, or UW1440p. Lower a couple settings here and there, apply some FSR/XeSS and it's darn playable. I enjoy it way better than when I was rocking a 1080p display. Well, I still own this monitor but it's now my backup device rather than anything else.

4K displays are also exceptionally great for work with text. I sit in front of this monitor not for hours but for days with no break and my eyes don't hurt.

By the time I'll feel the need to upgrade even AM5 will become past gen. So I'd rather go for something that doesn't yet exist... I stopped upgrading every year, my curiosity is totally satisfied and now I'm only buying stuff for more objective reasons. Just like 6900 XT planned purchase: it's cheap, it's damn fast and my PSU can maintain itself with power spikes of two overclocked 6700 XTs so it's a complete non-issue to run 6900 XT as well. And electricity is illegally cheap where I live. The main goal is to make my 6700 XT a backup device and giving my backup RX 480 well-deserved rest. I will "undress" it and keep on my shelf, it's too beautiful to sell.

I understand. For me, I'm not a gamer. So diving into this and watching people share opinions is perfect.
Seems to be nothing more than where you can be satisfied with eye candies based on budget and appeal of hardware within that budget.

I disabled all the scaling stuff, and had to force V-sync off. The benchmark crashes just after loading the scene. lol otherwise, I seem to be stuck at 60fps wtf? I mean it's smooth and looks different than RT all cranked up. But it's 60fps or none. Can't figure that one out yet. Is that normal for this benchmark to crash like that? It's almost like the driver wants the settings all maxed out.

That's not how it should work. What does the error report say? How is your AMD driver configured? Did you try lowering the CPU clocks? I heard Cyberpunk hates 5.4+ GHz Intel CPUs but I don't know if that's still the case.

Then definitely get a high PPI screen if you use your PC for work.

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
here's mine various setting from RT Psycho no FSR to standard and FSR balanced + Psycho/Ultra @1620p i usually play with no RT no FSR but RT Ultra+FSR balanced is quite nice (although RT is a gimmick and it does not add much) and playing at 3K because my screen is a 1440p but handle 1620p60 quite well tho 4k would be fine i reckon ... (aside CP2077 my previous RX 6700 XT did handle quite a few title at 4k borrowing a friend's monitor ... but 1620p is quite enough for me )

1620p

Nice, don't know cyberpunk have this tool. It will interesting if the op have some "standard" settings like 1080p and ultra... Rt on/off too for everyone compare their systems

Yes, the benchmark is the graphics settings tab. Nice for testing settings before game play!

The original post is set up with graphics detail auto-detect defaults and the video card at defaults. CPU with a minor over-clock.

That's not how it should work. What does the error report say? How is your AMD driver configured? Did you try lowering the CPU clocks? I heard Cyberpunk hates 5.4+ GHz Intel CPUs but I don't know if that's still the case.

System memory instability was/is the cause. I'm just a little faster than I should be. I can probably turn it down to say 4444mhz and it'll be a lot more stable.

Here's mine, High preset @ 3840X1600 Resolution, with and without FSR. (Raytracing OFF)

RAM Usage is high due to a running VM in the background.

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.
we need to set it on one or two standard settings - kind of like the SOTR thread.

So we can compare easier.

4K RT Ultra DLSS balanced.

we need to set it on one or two standard settings - kind of like the SOTR thread.

So we can compare easier.

4K RT Ultra DLSS balanced.

To many variables that I can't cover. Would need a baseline at each standard gaming resolution with all system defaults.

At least here, we may be able to see some settings that could benefit in a custom mode past what presets offer.

Then perhaps attempt to tweak from what the auto detect preset is for my gear and try to improve the Fram rates while keeping RT, like in my case is set to Ultra. The 45fps, I'd OC probably to achieve 60fps average.

well it's why i posted 6 of them, since my only constant is the resolution and it's more interesting to see what FSR/DLSS (not RT ) implementation do rather than a "competition"

in short "I WIN!" wait? no? ... oh... okay... *sadface*

DLSS too. Sure. I can run those presets as well.

here's mine various setting from RT Psycho no FSR to standard and FSR balanced + Psycho/Ultra @1620p i usually play with no RT no FSR but RT Ultra+FSR balanced is quite nice (although RT is a gimmick and it does not add much) and playing at 3K because my screen is a 1440p but handle 1620p60 quite well tho 4k would be fine i reckon ... (aside CP2077 my previous RX 6700 XT did handle quite a few title at 4k borrowing a friend's monitor ... but 1620p is quite enough for me )

you have vsync on and you limit you gpu at 60fps.
Turn it off when you run this or any benchmark.

I would like to see how the 7900XTX performs with RT psycho or Overdrive and FSR On at balanced setting.
Not necessarily at 4K.

It's better if we agree on specific settings with no DLSS/FSR. The only thing that can differ is the resolution,
We may keep it simple and easily readable like this

1080p/1440p/4K
and then the screenshot

it's not on ... on those with results above 60fps, just in case ... (the FSR balanced run ) did not care about running it No FSR VSYNC off since i never play without VSYNC  but i can make one later.
also nah specific settings would turn that into a competition and it's boring ... frankly that thread is refreshing compared to "XXXX Benchmark post your standardized setting score" and it's more interesting to see what variation/improvement FSR/DLSS/RT settings can do (which can help tweaking performances for gameplay, rather than just "look how it perform at standardized settings" )
resolutions change is fine settings change is fine, the game show all the settings and the result it's clear plain and simple

also less boring than performances review (nothing wrong with them tho, but only on launch to get an idea ) with fixed settings and hardware and 3 resolutions (no 1620p tho  )

otherwise i vote for 4K no FSR/DLSS, ultra settings RT Psycho for everybody :p

the only recommendation i would make, would be : Thumbnail mandatory, no full picture.

Honestly didn't make the thread for any direct competition. The original post has some base line benchmarks. To view, compare with, w/e.

Probably will condense the OP a bit. Put a lot into a Spoiler or two.

But from what I can tell, I should upgrade my monitor. I've been running 1080P for so long now, it's probably time.

It's not a competition.
Having the same settings (only different resolution) is very useful to check for example how a gpu performs in different PC with the same or different cpu, ram etc. configuration.

I've finished the game with settings like ~this in early 2023. 'minus ray reconstruction cause it wasn't a thing back then'
Basically high preset/medium crowd density + RT Reflections and Lights on Ultra + DLSS on Quality.
Cyberbench.jpg

It was enough for me and I had no issues playing the game, I'm yet to play Phantom Liberty but whenever I will I think I'm keeping the same settings maybe tweak a thing or two if really needed.

You even nailed the windows not being able to take a proper gamma screenshot with HDR on.
When I upload a large vid , it takes a day or two for the HDR to process , once it is process , gamma is day and night !

It's not a competition.

So true , at 4K , you get an ideal what really matters , and can save some money .
