The frame generation was one of better thing nvidia made, it runned like dream on atomic hearth, starfield and others games I tested, only pague tale has some problems with stutters.

This game have some problems, I see some artifacts in this bench on npc's head and in the end on palm trees leafs. The cpu usage drop with rt is annoying too, but so far, it runs better than many games (akka far cry 4-5-6 and company)

I cant believe this 8 year cpu still put that amount of fps and I was VERY lucky to get it, it was a gift of intel. I bought the 7700k and suffered with the thermal throtle fiasco, I just sended it to warranty and manager comunicated me in e-mail, I explained to her the problem and show the intel forum topic with alot of users having the same problem and I asked if I can exchange to x99 platform. She agreed and let me choose on avaliable models and the 6900k was the best and I couldnt be happier. The only problem of this setup is the motherboard, weak on overclock and one memmory channel died last year, lucky again to move to another channel and still work fine and even on quad channel.

I saw that you have the same graphic card as I do and got curious how my 14900K at eco settings (4800/4000 MHz) will perform, and got these numbers for LOW preset at 1920x1080 res. and DLSS off.

I expressed myself badly in this comment, I meant specifically about The Last of Us due to some tests done personally with the 5600x and some random videos on YouTube, anyway, I edited it to avoid any more misunderstandings

Think i missed Overdrive pic. 2560x1440 Overdrive+FrameGen. A bit of an overclock on the gpu this time. 3000core/16000mem. It only got me like 3 fps as i'm bandwidth limited. So overclocking the gpu is almost useless for me. I typically don't overclock a gpu anyways when gaming. Fried to many over the years doing that. And LOL i'm racking up Legendary achievements in Steam and 3dmark website with legendary 3dmark scores. Goes by cpu+gpu combo so pretty easy to get #1 now. I had to really fight for #1 back in the P3-P4 days.

My P3 benched 3dmark at 1788mhz air cooling. Had to make my own bios for a bx-133 mobo to add Tualatin cpu microcode. cpu pinout not compatible so had to find a mod for that, Pull some cpu pins and wire trace pin x to pin b etc. Soldered on new vrms and capacitors and other stuff. Volt mod on the actual ram sticks was required as well. FSB was locked so no ram at the time went the speed i needed. Reprogramed the eprom if memory serves. Can't recall if i had a clock gen mod on it. Sure it had a cpu volt mod. Was a Frankenstein project for sure and lots of fun.

So finally got around to retiring the 13yo 2600k. May it rest it's pretty little ass in peace. Might need to display that sucker on my mantle. It was such a treasure. But now i got my 13600kf installed and i'm still working on performance. While HPET disabled for the 2600k increased fps by 33% the 13600kf can barely even run with it disabled. So HPET is now enabled. Oh and i updated WIn 10 Pro 64bit to Win11 Pro 64bit. Yes i know it's a slight performance loss but whatever. Guess i should update my sig. Nothing overclocked except my ddr5 is at 6200cl36 from 5600cl36 fyi.

Ray Tracing Overdrive no Framegen doesn't quite beat my 2600k with Framegen. But the 2600k without Framegen gets approx 45fps. gpu limited below and 2600k was ofc cpu limited.

Next gen of CPU/GPU in 2025 and we are on the 2nd wave of OLEd 4k. This is gonna be good.

You can play this game with only RT reflections being turned on. Will hit more than 70 FPS (lows; averages will exceed 100) on a 4090 at 4K. Path tracing is great but it's unnecessary.

I went 4K despite only having an RX 6700 XT and I'm definitely not happy to go to 1440p, that's for sure. 4K is superior in everything.

The Sandy Bridge was a begin of new era in pc durability, its amazing how a such old cpu can still put that amount of fps like never seen before. This cpu and the gtx 900/1000 series put a HUGE slow down on obsolescence on old hardware.

I've tested the frame gen and liked alot, like you said it even help when the cpu cant put reasonable fps amount or a bad optmized game goes smooth like day and night difference.

On RT ultra the 13600k was capable to use 100% gpu usage all time?
