Which is better in Throttlestop?​

High benchmark scores or low scores. Seems lower scores finish faster is that right?

Also this question, if I had to change my grub menu to unlock my CPU, If I update my bios will I have to change the grub menu again?

This is not a benchmark, just a CPU stability test. The more efficiently the CPU paces, the faster it executes.

The ThrottleStop TS Bench shows elapsed time. A fast computer will take less time to complete a task like the TS Bench.

The TS Bench is fine for creating some heat. It will also report errors fairly quickly when the voltage is set too low. The elapsed time it takes to complete this test can vary significantly when you have a lot of background tasks. I do not recommend using the TS Bench for comparing to other users.

I would run Cinebench if you are interested in a benchmark that can be easily compared to others. Cinebench results are easy to find.

If I update my bios will I have to change the grub menu again?

I do not know the answer to that. Try updating your BIOS. The FIVR window should show if voltage control is still working or not.

CPU Monkey says those are normal Cinebench R23 scores for an 11800H

Many Dell laptops will either thermal throttle or power limit throttle during a full load stress test. Open Limit Reasons and watch ThrottleStop while Cinebench is running to check for any throttling. I think it is possible to overclock the 11800H but your G15 might have locked out that feature. Post a screenshot of the FIVR window if you want me to have a look. Turn on the Log File option when playing a game or doing some Cinebench testing. It will show if there are any problems. Attach a log to your next post.

Don't know how to do the log thing. If you mean the Limits button, it showed no errors.

I made it easy to find on the main screen.

Checking the Log File box on the main screen writes all of the performance data to a log file in the ThrottleStop / Logs folder. Running a log while playing a game or while doing some testing makes it easy to go back and look to see how your CPU was performing and if there was any throttling.

The 11800H does allow a 400 MHz overclock. Most people never use this feature because even at default settings, the 11800H runs hot, hot in most laptops.

A laptop that does not need to throttle is a good thing. On some computers Limit Reasons will start lighting up like a Christmas tree.
