The price per TB seems wrong. Wouldn't it be 47.5 per TB? (Or maybe I misread. As the price at the time of the review is 95, but then the price in the conclusion is 170)

My bad, that's for the 1 TB model, the correct price for 2 TB is $170. Fixed

Now if only Phison would do the same fat-cutting to E26, maybe PCIe 5.0 SSDs would finally take off. But the fact that a respin of a 4.0 controller is their newest product, does not bode well.

Also, standard Corsair tax, including $5 for a piece of metal painted black with a sticky pad. Amazing.

Looks great. I've been a fan of Corsair for the past decade and a pair of their MP600 Pro LPX have been sitting in my cart for a few days as I hem and haw over this.

In a bit of restructuring (shuffling of disks), I want to move to a two disk single volume system and these look like the way to go.

If your main target is just having plain local storage, 9¢/GB sounds about right for 1TB series. It's 8¢/GB on 2TB series but gets undercut pretty good by previous models.

The real star is the IOps: 1 million read, 1.2 million write, 7GB/s seq read, 6.5GB/s seq write looks insane. I'm interested in what that looks like in RAID 0. 1200TBW doesn't inspire high confidence but I've put 74TB on a 240GB MP510 across 4 years 3 months, so it's probably fine.

Excuse you, it's called finally having a stable sata SSD after my very first (OCZ) SSD croaked then finally jumping onto a platform that makes use of NVME. Corsair has proven to be very much reliable in these times. Much speed. Very entry level. Wow.

I have a 4TB MP600 LPX and I find it runs quite a bit hotter than the kingston KC3000s I have and they don't have a heatsink like the corsair.

Just booted and it's the D drive (steam library) and far from the gpu. After up to temp idles about 45C

Well, it passes the duck test for a PCIe 4.0 SSD. There's not much more that can be said about it, and that's probably a good thing. It's a duck's bill above average at random reads, though.

For a moment I got very enthusiastic about the 2TB models on the PCIe Gen 4.0, the prices seemed to go down a bit to reasonable prices.

I could get a 2TB not long ago for R2100 (not blackfriday or w/e related), and now all of a sudden it's near the R3800. Then, of course, I remembered the article about them limiting supply a few months ago and presto, looky look, now they are all overpriced again and it's not even PCIe 5.0.

Why can't they just offer a fair deal to the average customer?
