DDR5-8000 (AMD) works now... Kinda

I updated the Gigabyte X670E Master to AMD AGESA 1.1.0.2 b. To my surprise 8000 MT/s boots now. Before 7600 MT/s took a bunch of voltage fiddling to get it to boot. With just XMP / EXPO it is really fast to boot (under 30 seconds), but isn't fully stable. Fails y-cruncher, but I can still do most daily things. Next step is to start making voltage adjustments and see where it takes me.

Good job AMD in continue to improve the memory support. I really thought we wouldn't see 8000 MT/s on 4-slot MBs until next CPU.

Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB OC to 6200 (1:1 FCLK 2066) + Tweaks vs EXPO 8000 (Stock). It took SOC 1.3 and CPU_VDDIO_MEM 1.4, GDM enabled and Ratio 2:1 to get it stable. This is also the max the motherboard would allow. If the 8000 kit was tweaked like the 6200 ones, it may match the performance. Still not worth pushing those voltages just for gaming.

the question stays.
do you get any performance out of it over a good 6200 kit in 1:1?

Any idea if the Memory Context Restore On + Power Down Disabled instabilities have finally been resolved?

I've been running with MCR off forever due to that bug.

I'm running the test right now. Managed to pass y-cruncher by maxing out the voltages this MB allows.

I'll try this after I'm done with playing with high speeds. I leave MCR off as well on my personal computer.

Edit:
I made edits to my 1st post. adding the benchmarks stuff. Also tried to see how high I could go for plug-n-play stability. If I don't change any voltages, 7400 MT/s is the highest stable for me to pass y-cruncher and 1000% on memory stress test.

Conclusion. 4-Slot MBs probably won't be stable for most and it takes a crap ton of voltage. Wait until next CPU for DDR5-10000 or stick with 6000-6400 1:1.

Between GDM/Power Down, and very lax secondary and tertiary’s that like 14-16gb/s behind where read/write bandwidth could be. 1.5-1.55 vdd is fine with a 120mm fan pointing at the dimms :)

Well tuned 6200/6400 can net around ~98gb/s and 53-54ns latency if you tighten things down (and have 100 free hours )

1-3 hour and much easier on the CPU IMC. If I had a 2-slot MB, 8000+ might be viable for 24/7.

Buy me one :). Hicookie just did 10K on the B650E Tachyon a few days ago with the APU.

Wanna see what the new UMC can do 1:1. So far all I see is auto UCLK results to reach easy 8400+

System instability performance increases exponentially. Something is growing, right?
They are useful for pictures on the forum, nothing more. You are not happy if a bluescreen, even once a week, ruins your moment when you play online or you are at 99% job done after waiting an hour or hours.

Update to this. The answer is no. Left it off for a day, first boot and it hard locked after a few minutes for DDR5-6000.
Lol, thanks for the testing anyways. :)
