So i bought this monitor after i upgraded to a 4090 and this is probably one of the worst monitors/tv i had to deal with honestly but after settings everything up and finding solutions to all the problems, everything is working fine, g sync is on, low latency mode is on ULTRA and Vsync is ON in the NVCP and im using the monitor on 120hz instead of 144hz because the ghosting is unbearable.
Now all games run fine but the moment a game gets around lets say less than 70 everything starts not looking smooth and its like im on 40fps or something when im moving my camera around, i can never explain it properly since i never found anyone with the same problem as me, i play with a controller always btw. And idk if this is a monitor issue or a gpu issue honestly. Games like cyperpunk and witcher 3 where im MOST of the times getting above 60 fps the games would still look bad at times since for me anything less than 70 and the closer it gets to 60 even if it doesn't dip below that looks like utter garbage.
Now my only theory right now is that since this monitor isn't gsync "certified" and its just a freesync monitor technically, and because of that g sync doesn't work properly. And i hope thats what's causing this issue because im planning to buy the LG OLED C4 when it comes out which is a certified g sync panel and hope that fixes this issue. Does anyone think its probably the monitor or is something wrong with my pc thats causing this ? mind you when im above 90 fps everything runs perfectly smooth.
I honestly tried so so many things, i did things that no one has ever thought of probably. I looked in the deepest parts of the internet and absolutely nothing worked. it HAS to be this monitor
some settings i have on this monitor
connection: Display port with the cable that came with the monitor
Local dimming: High
adaptive sync: ON
VRR: OFF because when i turn it on everything becomes not smooth, like i see duplicated frames not sure how to explain it. it just looks garbage.
also even though VRR is OFF it still says its ON in the Game hub HUD of the monitor or whatever its called
my old monitor was basically a samsung TV 4k 60hz and i had no issues running my 4090 on that so now im pretty positive its probably the monitor and not my gpu
