I've already got a somewhat effective measly mini portable vacuum cleaner for our keyboards but at times requires several passes or some added manual labour with a brush to loosen up the squatters. Can't be bothered with air dusters anymore. Needed a secondary zero-hassle more effective solution, an attachment to tie in with our 890w Miele C3 vacuum cleaner. Its a mini mod with a fly net filter to avoid gobbling up KB keys and works a treat. First time use - only one/two quick passes, zero-hassle, the keyboard bed is so clean i can sleep on it.

Finally decided to upgrade my Steam Deck's SSD.

I got a Lexar PLAY 1TB for about $80. I went with this drive because it was the cheapest one that should have TLC NAND. Almost every other 2230 SSD uses QLC NAND, and those that use TLC are generally more expensive than this one.

I verified that this drive uses a Silicon Motion SM2269XT controller and Micron B47R 176-layer TLC NAND.

The upgrade process went smoothly (though I did lose one of the screws because, of course, I would). I even went and dual-booted Windows and SteamOS on it using rEFInd.

I'm pretty picky with my audio so, not great but good enough for retro games. They were like 15 bucks and they're pretty handy for just plugging into a 3.5mm output if you need to. They also have pretty good volume for just using USB power off of the Pi.

Liked the Pearlios so much that I got some more and put them in my U80-A as well, while I had the board apart for some cleaning and maintenance. Slightly different feel and sound, 5mm polycarbonate vs. 1.5mm brass + 3.5mm silicone.

I hate desoldering..........but not enough to shell out $300 for a Hakko FR-301...

It is the finest hourglass, though. Seriously, those FE cards are amazingly built and hella pretty. Of course, can't see any of it in the 2000D. Aesthetics aside, I am very happy that the card mount is vertical (outputs down), so no sag, because this is one massive and heavy card.

I now have almost everything to turn a HP z210 tower into a media server, although I am still debating on going with a low power CPU (E3-1260L) to replace the one that is in it currently (E3-1280).
