i meant that poeple are worrying for no reason at all just because we now have sensor to read temps we couldnt many years agon and no one gave a shit. you get it? people should only worry with temps if it gets really hot for no reason at all or when it really has an issue which is rare. if the hot spot is 105 celsius who cares? these thing got tested for thousands of hours. every gpu gets tested before getting into the box. some get tested for 24 hours straight some only 1-2 hours but if it passes it gets boxed and sold.

or even better hur durhh my gpu reaches 80 celsius is that okay ? my cpu kis at 90 celsius hurr durhhh damn so many useless forum help posts .

cpu doesnt gives a shit if it runs 50 celsius or 100 celsius for a decade straight.

Well, I agree - as long as temps are safe, they're safe, that's that.

But I don't think the last few posts were as worrisome as you think. Actually, they came across to me as kind of happy about some temperature saved, regardless whether a higher one would still be OK or not.

It does matter as Edge temp is basically useless. Fan curve goes with the hotspot temp, not edge.

very dependent on the used hardware. 200 watts gpu or 400 watts? hot gpus run often very low rpm hot and silent. ot loud and cool? or both? with these monster coolers of today who cares? i can barely hear my 7900xt wheni put in 360 watts.

sure enjoy it. i personally couldnt care less if my gpu runs with 1 mhz if the fps is good thats all that matters, how its achieved i dont care much lol.


thats why there is no reason to fear temps modern hardware will regulate itsself if it hits a limit. and also while its throttling you wont lose anything that is more than measurable. if a gpu runs with 2900mh or 2700mhz it doesnt matter you wont feel the difference in gameplay.

and if you throttle then your system is i dont even know how anyone can have a system with bad air flow or anything. you only need 2 fans thats all 1 front 1 back. people with 10 fans are running worse than they would with 3-4 which is the sweetspot even then it only matter if yaou have an 4090 running wild and a modern high end intel cpu. otherwise it doesnt matter.

shit with a 4070 ypou could get away with 1 fan on the back. especially with mesh front. but as weall know more fans and rgb gets you more fps. thats why i attached freaking xenon lights to my pc

I agree with that too - any OC has very minimal effect on gameplay, if any. But I do accept the fact that some people like tinkering with numbers, it gives them pleasure.

Some people also like to play competitively, whereas I don't see the point. It doesn't make my taste in games any better or worse, just different.

As for RGB, everybody knows that it makes your PC faster with its magical healing powers, but xeon lights actually slow it down with radiation that is lethal to the tiny invisible chip-fairies.

Re did the test with just 1050 >> 1150mV
Same TBP, edge/hotspot temps, highest core voltage but a bit higher avg core voltage and 80~150MHz less avg clocks

Temp throttling can be anything from unnoticeable to devastating to performance. You're making a lot of blanket statements that barely make sense at this point.

When i ordered it i just got more then i needed cos it can be bit hard to work with putting it in the fridge for like hour or more so it can cool and get solid makes it bit easier, or like 10 minutes in the freezer

Easy to set up a looks nice, maybe with more time it could look even better with AIDA64 and it's not connected with HDMI so no second screen in Windows.

Im starting to regret buying AMD gpu in last 2 generations, cos of AMD ignorance, at the same time i hate NVIDIA cos of their garbage 12 pin connector.
I hate it when AMD is acting tone deaf, they also mentioned driver issues with world of warcraft, they are finally starting to admit one issue that has been issue for a very long time, but still ignore the video scheduler issues with wow where game just freezes and driver time outs do not happen as they should, cos the system is still responsive in background just displays are frozen.

I use hwinfo + info panel + wallpaper engine on my small raspery pi display in potrait mode.

I could potentially make info panel display stuff as a web page and then display it on raspery pi display connected to a raspery pi so its not a screen connected to my system.

Looks awesome, just a tad expensive. I think I'll stay with the Chinese screen + Task Manager + GPU-Z combo for now, but definitely added it to my Amazon wish list. Thanks for the info!

I don't really understand the purpose of these kind of comparisons, to be honest. Why would you want to run two different architectures that were designed to run at different clock speeds, at the same clock speed?

It's very difficult to improve IPC in a GPU, as a matter of fact there is very little that can be done, GPU cores have little out of order execution, no speculative execution, no branch predictor, shallow pipelines etc.

5-10% is actually quite impressive, most of it coming from the dual issue shaders no doubt.
