How reliant on the freeze motion c-c-c-c-c-c-combo maker does it force you into being?
It's not freeze motion, it's realtime. And yeah you get gud or die.

What's to say. I suck at gaming while many of you breeze through stuff fast enough to not worry about little details. Quite glad he got on with it for the few hours it took.

I've been playing backup every game I paid for since my PC took a poo on the same day email provider G decided they wanted to lock me out unless I provided them with a new mobile to milk data from. Epic refuses to switch to a new account without access to it.

About the only actual game I've opened this week was FH5 to get a silly badly nerfed car that ended up being worse than everything else it might contend with. Since Eliminator is so riddled with cheaters I started knocking off a open world gaming objective. Anything that required going fast and jumping off something.

I must say, combat is quite intense and I love the aesthetic. Not sure if gameplay wouldn't get old though to bite the bullet.

TBH, 90% of all women models in this game are handsome and beautiful IMO.
Well CDPR followed the most important rule, RTFM  almost all women in the books are described as beautiful as in the game, that way they can use their attributes
to achieve their plans and goals, while Netflix just....just.... let me breath and take a moment. RiP The Witcher adaptation.

Benchmark Scores bench ? no time to lose with bench ! :)
Just finished Need for Speed (on PC) after 23 hours of gaming.
Already done on the PS4, to me a great arcade game.
Graphics are still good and the sound is really great.
When I've beaten it on PS4, I drove my usual cars, RX-7, Supra, GT-R etc ... so for this replay, i've choose other ways : Mustang, Viper and Corvette.
Great times with these US cars and what a sound !
The (arcade) handling on the drift races is so good, it's really a joy when you've mastered it.
You can change the behavior of the vehicule, going GRIP or DRIFT ... well DRIFT make the drift course a bit easier, but i've managed to won drift races with a GRIP-to-the-MAX Viper.
In fact, no need to bother changing the drive mode. Normal is good for the most of the game.
There is a lot of FMV in 1st person like an old Sega-CD game :)
At first, I didn't want to hang with these guys, but hey, there's a scenario to follow ...
It seems they're living for cars, hanging around and drinking Monster brewage ...
Not so many cars, but it goes from the Golf I GTi to the Ferrari 458. You can visually tune most of the cheap cars, and not really change a thing on the luxury ones.
Last thing, you can have other human players on your game, they're driving on the map, and they're still driving the map during your races.
So, basically you can crash into a player who is just visiting the town :) during your race and loose some time. It's a bit annoying, but the game is not hard.

0011.jpg

Cannot resist to the Supra ... Still looking good for a 10 years game, no ?
0013.jpg

Ok, the RX-7 is fabulous, but i've done almost all the drift courses with a Mustang !

Here, graphics lowered to the MIN, but the Viper is still mighty :) Difference between low and max are very subtle ...

2015 one had some great atmosphere of night city. I'd say better one than coveted Undergrounds, MW 2005 and Carbon.
Oh, and Beck Kustoms is a blast. M3 GTR isn't all that though.

Man, I loved the atmosphere of this game but driving was weird. I mean I still finished but wth was that?
I enjoyed watching my car though. Graphics still hold today. And custom wraps were amazing.

I'm not smart enough for that game, I tried it a few times and just end up getting lost usually or confused about something. RIP low iq
Don't put yourself down, amigo. There are many different types of people (and what they enjoy/where they excel), many different types of reactions to the same piece of art, many different areas of strength.

I don't ever intend to get too political, so please ignore if you find offensive, but one example I give is that the most educated individual has the same voting power as the guy that chooses to be ignorant or lacked the time/opportunity to learn about the landscape and be informed (as possible). Both those people are equally valid human beings, each with their own life and priorities, and we all share this planet.

There are so many things I wish I were more educated, capable, or better-skilled at practicing (generally wrt different inherent cultures/perspective and their unique lessons to be learned as we all continue to meld. I appreciated the former French poster giving his opinions on WW games being taboo for example [which is perhaps both generational and cultural]), and can only try to be better; more understanding to different (well-intentioned) opinions, appreciate those that stick their neck out and/or go against the grain to infuse society with valid/unique perspectives wrt different age/social groups and their accepted way to convey/absorb information, and try to keep learning or form a better understanding of those intentions/perspectives.

While I have witnessed many events in pop culture (which is arguably fleeting due to evolution) in which the past may help better inform the future, I would still have to call my sister to help me change a tire.

I have no doubt there are things you are more-capable that neither I nor someone that can successfully play PoE. The difference is circumstance; how you chose/were able to spend your time, if not biology.

:)

______________________________

I want to talk about (certain choices and the end of) FFVIIRB, but I won't...yet. Because I think there is a fascinating conversation to be had about it wrt many different aspects of it.

I'm curious how all different types of people react. Some with similar life experiences (perhaps older), some not (perhaps younger). Those that played the original and know the story vs those that didn't.

The TLDR is this year's general pop culture conversation (that some call the culture war, which I don't like simply because it should be about people making their unique viewpoints/opinions known without making others defensive) is probably going to be a doozy wrt personal/business-related censorship of artistic choices/transliteration and what is right for creators (and/or ethics/cultural difference committees) to decide what an audience can and can't...or perhaps should or should not...have to reconcile within said art. In some respects it comes down to inherent life experiences/culture to have a socially-acceptable or desired effect (either familiar or unfamiliar; targeted at either those of a similar culture or one other than your own), but even without those that doesn't mean people shouldn't LEARN about that perspective or share in that experience (of what's more-generally accepted from a culture other than their own).

Likewise, I can respect those that try to convey art w/o conceivably impacting others with trauma/disgust. It's part guessing game on reception of art; it's part personal conviction, and it's all fascinating to me.

And no, I'm not just talking about Trish' butt in DMC5, Tifa's shirt in Remake, nor those bikinis in rebirth. (I, for one, will always champion depicting gravity.) That's not the part that bothers me; more below.

While some conversation may pertain to Stellar Blade (which hopefully has fulfilling combat/story to offset the early major talking point), some of it will also pertain to the ending of Rebirth.

Both interesting perspectives coming at a somewhat similar issue from two entirely different angles.

To be perhaps more pointed/poignant and conceivably trigger potential insecurities/outrage, or rather perhaps more 'safe' (humanistic?) to be more easily digested, while still expressing important themes.

In the case of Rebirth,
there still appears to be outrage (which is unique to the circumstance of being a 'remake'), but conceivably less trauma, especially for the younger generation that may not have witnessed said event (especially in the way us 'olds' did; they see the old version as a ragdoll or marionette where-as it was the best we had at the time and therefore perhaps had greater impact) and/or may not handle a more realistic depiction/loss of a character they [may always] care for very well for and thus it is more understanding of psychological (denial wrt grief/psychological break/shizophrenia) or humanistic notions (she's still 'with' him).

Some will always argue for the auteur and the classic, others the consensus and modernization; perception to and well-being of the general (now international) public wrt works of art.

While it may appear simple to take a side, for me it truly isn't; and I don't think it should be. I think a strong single view is important, but like-minded collaboration is key. Obviously, easier said than done.

There will likely be conversations revolving around the topic in myriad aspect.

My current contribution is to ask for people to contemplate the usage of soft focus, both literally and figuratively, and when/where they feel it should be applicable.

Well another month a new Humble Choice. As you can see I will be having great fun playing DAH2. For those who don't know this is a $13.99 per month bundle. DAH2 is currently $39.99 on Steam. If you are a PC Gamer that used to go to the Arcade, this service will make you smile.

Just to clarify, that's February's bundle. March's should be out tomorrow. That said, if anyone wants these, move quickly.

App installs obviously = full package is stripped down (language packs!!) on backend through system info collection. Downloading the complete game w/o DRM was the entire point of buying from GOG. Installing only the required parts of full game is what I had hoped might be improved upon.

Otherwise, Uncharted was a game I've long been excited to play and held off on until this point. There is reason to believe the superior product was delivered based on reasonably well attuned perceptions of system reactivity. Improved loading times etc. were my aim.

On topic: Hunter COTW dev is taking some highly laudable advise to spend as much time as needed polishing future DLC and game updates. Speculation is building as to what form this will take after making coded public statement maximum bandwidth and possible refinements have been reached.

I'm level, mountain is that steep. Quite happy with the level of detail brought up over time across the entire game.

A stutter(major)free Free Dead Space. Instead of shooting the bastards I give them a beat down with the plasma cutter and a good curb stomping instead of trying to shoot their legs off. works so far.....i guess

So this is what hell looks like. I'd often wondered...
DOOM
View attachment 337333

Doom will always be one of my biggest regrets as a commenter; a moment I put my assumptive foot all the way down my throat (and relive in my mind to occasional endless personal embarrassment).

The reason why is because ID/Bethesda refused to send out review codes (it was one of 'those' games) and I was certain it was because it would be a mess; that's what history has taught us to expect.

Not afraid to say it: I was wrong (although I still don't think the pre-release marketing made it look very good). Wasn't the first time, wasn't the last time, but that certainly was a 'don't count your chickens (even if the review code/embargo implies game is bad) before they're hatched teachable moment.

FWIW, I didn't love 2016 as much as most people (even though I bought the sequel as well), but it certainly does have a certain kind of charm...especially as an updated version of the feeling of the OG game(s).

I respect that many people appreciate it, and I know it brings many people much joy; especially many that relished the originals and/or Quake back in their heyday (I was more of a Unreal/UT kid, although ofc I played the classic ID titles as well).

I'll also always be impressed with what ID is capable of pulling off wrt performance/optimization. It's a great game for people that perhaps don't have a wicked-fast system (but perhaps decent display) in which they could still have at least one AAA title that runs at an extremely high framerate (with movement/action that pairs well with it) while still looking pretty impressive imho. I have to give them respect for that.
