OpenRGB, someone here pointed this out to me a few months back.

nice! hope its compatible with corsair/nzxt RGB components. I've got 2 systems, both using the motherboards base RGB software alongside iCUE (and the other build with CAM). I've had my fair share of troubles in the past but lately everything's running smoothly.

OpenRGB could be a nice backup if further forced updates present any glitches (updates being a common offender in the past!)

It looks like they've added support for most Corsair devices. https://openrgb.org/devices_0.9.html?search=

Ok , so I have contacted the Lidl about the faulty decibelmeter.
They will send me a new one, no need to send mine back. :)

Bought myself a new smart watch since my old one is kind of broken 'as in physically' and I hate to always take out my phone just to check the time and whatnot when I'm not at home. 'I generally don't like to use my phone in public'
Its a Haylou Solar plus RT 3. Haylou is part of the Xiaomi family/branch so its more budget oriented but its still decent quality for the price/supposedly it was one of the better budget watches in 2023 and its still ok in the price range.
Bought it for ~55 $ and that was about my max budget, the Oled display is pretty good when viewed in person/has a metal body with more than enough features than I will ever use. 'I don't care much for sport modes and whatnot since I work out the old school way, its still mainly a watch for me and to see if I have notifications, etc'
O ye those buttons on the side does have a function not just for show.

I still have to properly set it up with my phone/pick some watch faces from its app. 'theres like 100+ I think'

The SD card is for my father's Poco M4 pro that I've posted earlier. He wants to have everything on this card from his old phone and whatever else new.
64 is plenty enough for his use case + he still has 128 gb built in his phone anyway.
I don't usually buy brand new Samsung stuff in my country cause its heavily taxed and expensive vs similar good other brands but this I found at a decent price so I was like whatever then.

I just bought a new work laptop, couldn't get any good used offers so I said fuck it. my employee discount netted me a 7540u zen 4 apu laptop for 470 bucks. 1200p IPS screen, 16gb ddr5 ram. wifi6e. its not much and its only 60hz, but it will do me good for work. plus being all AMD should be easy to get dual boot with Linux going on it. will do win 11 for work, and ChimeraOS for some light gaming I think. has a decent webcam on it too, better than standard anyway

being new and zen4, I expect this will last me a solid 10+ years for work. wish you could find a 7840u with no dedicated GPU in the same 14" form factor, but for some reason those are non-existent or insanely overpriced, so meh it is what it is

What switches are in the tube?

They are Gateron Pro 3.0 Silver. I swapped my key caps over and did a quick reprogram to match the key caps. I liked my Corsair K60 Pro TKL, but I already RMA'd it once for randomly disconnecting and now the replacement is doing the same.

Late Amazon delivery, already refunded. The 3rd party seller service person was so annoying and disrespectful, so I just waited for the A-Z guarantee to knock in.
IMG_20240315_185156.jpg

Another order, another 3rd party seller, and out of 2 mouse mats they manage to send one wrong. At least they didn't screw up the size.
They'll both get the "highly positive" review as soon as I get in the mood.

RMA'ed mine too.

was giving readings of 75 to 90 dBA in a quite bedroom, while an app on my phone registered between 25 and 30 dBA.

Seems we had the units from the same batch (Version: 12/2021) assembled on a monday morning after a festivity weekend  . I didn't expect much for € 9.99 but the reviews on their site were not bad.

Will see if I get a refund or repacement unit.

My new one seems ok, around 30 in a quiet room.

Contact Lidl and tell them it's off/faulty and they'll say we send you and new one and you can keep the faulty one as me since I guess for 10 EUR it's not worth it to ship it back and the admin work.

Both of mine are 12/2021 version.
