I got my ROG TUFF 4070 Ti about 2 months ago now and I'm very happy. I paid roughly $1400 CAD for it at Best Buy. Trying to find any graphics card in Canada is a struggle, unless you order online, but I'm not willing to order something that expensive and in high demand, to be handled by 100 random people, which any one of them could snatch it right up, I've seen it happen before, and it's not about to stop.
I get 3000MHz as a steady OC during gameplay with it boosting to 3030-3045MHz for short periods.
Not sure why but my memory shows its running at 21000MHz, but that's that overall operating speed no, 2.1 GHz/s? I can push that up to 22000MHz and also be steady during gameplay.
I love the graphical advancement and beauty it adds to games, especially my favorite classics like Resident Evil 4, the RT just makes that game pop. I don't mind the performance hit, I get a steady 90FPS. Considering consoles such as PS4 are capped at 60FPS, I'm quite happy getting 50% better performance over a "Next-Gen" console, plus they don't have near the quality graphics PCs have with additions like RT.
I was considering going for the 4090 but I think it would have been overkill for 1440p gaming, I don't have a monitor to support it, I have an ASUS TUF 34" Curved QHD 180Hz 21:9 Monitor so spending almost double seemed like a lot, plus I'm probably going to be sucked into buying the next 50 series cards and that's just because I would want the next generation of RT cores, but we'll have to wait and see how the NvidiaMob is going to handle this launch and how much they try to pull over on us, lets hope we catch it like we did for this 12GB 4080
