but.... what there is to tune in phone's UI? I like that I just put my settings and install the neccessary apps and that's it. Then I open Instagram and check all the new cat pictures from those who I follow

Hey, if that works for you that's great. I hate the "giant grid of apps" approach and disagree with a lot of Apple's design choices. I've got no issue with people who like iPhones - my partner uses one - but I will never own another Apple product for myself after the 1st gen MacBook Air. They screwed me at every possible opportunity there and made an enemy for life.

iPhones are the only Apple products I like myself, but yeah like u said, everyone likes what they like. The only company I HATE is Nvidia.

Does a work purchase count?

I got one of the new M3 iMacs, and had to contend with it only having USB C ports; for that I got a large USB hub as I want to keep using a plugin keyboard and mouse as well as a USB A thumb drive and yubikey.

Pity they no longer offer a space grey version, so I just went with silver.

Does. I'd like a hub like that myself, you can't simply have too many USBs ever

Luckily I found an USB3 A-B cable so I can use those 4 connectors on my monitor. Two goes for my HDDs and two for headphones receiver and charging cable.

edit: My friend didn't gave any cables with the monitor as I bought it used, just the power brick (it uses an external PSU)

The USB C to A cable that comes with the hub works, but of all the many other USB C to A cables I have tried, it is the only one with the 'magic'. I was hoping to figure out what cable to get so I can also use my older hubs (which work with the one magic cable).

Actually simple was the problem, only USB C on the new iMac; even the ethernet port is moved off to the external power supply.

Honestly, most of you guys are out of touch with the Mac stuff, if your experience is with the 17" machines like the poster some pages ago. Things have progressed, but given this is site is aimed at PC gaming crowd it's no wonder.

I have 4x 2.0 and 4x 3.0 on my main rig and that's not enough

Luckily my monitor has a 4-port USB3 hub at least

I mean, when I grab my VR glasses from my closet, they need 3 ports etc

I bought a freakin USB-C Ethernet adapter for a user to use with their new iMac for remote access because it needed to auto-recover from a power loss and wouldn't reliably connect afterwards to corp Wifi. Fine, stupid Apple no Ethernet. And then after working on another iMac a couple months later, discover that it has ethernet in the freakin' external PSU. Read that again, a reasonable-sized ALL-in-one-desktop has an external PSU with a f***ing Ethernet port on it. There ain't no ALL in that "All".

I have been using Apple products since 1980 and this has sent me over the edge.

I jumped ship some time back and use PCs at home; but at work I stick with a Mac as I don't have to open it up for repair or upgrade, but the Mac is mainly to be sure I have a retina screen.

stick drift is exactly why i donated my two Turtle Beach Recon and Recon Cloud, they did not have stick drifting but ... i wanted the Stealth Ultra with HALL effect sticks ... the screen on it is ... practical for on the go configuration but not for the Whatsapp usage (not that i care :laugh:

) and the short travel microswitches for D-Pad, ABXY, LB/RB, P1/P2/P3/P4 feel utterly superb, and, iirc, the trigger are analog with toggle for half course (great for FPS and other fast paced games), nonetheless ... it's 4 time the price of that GameSir G7 SE

(i find it worth it given the features and bundle, imho)

now i have a Mastercard Hanya and a Visa Samurai :laugh:

it's great for added security, no one can see the card number or the name (easily removable/put back in place in case of an official control nonetheless :laugh:
