CIA (Cleaning In Action) .... i hope so too. lmao

both 'previous' and 'now' looks tasty!

I never delved into full custom loops but always fancied it. Curious though, what compelled you to revert back to a stock air cooled GPU and AIO over the CL? The hardware monitoring screen: nice touch!
Thanks for the compliments bud, much appreciated. For most things in life I'm not a perfectionist, but for some reason when it comes to PC's I am. So I've been watercooling for a while, but ever since I got into hard tubing I've been fascinated by doing unique tube runs, etc. So eventually I got around to my V3000 Plus build and that build came out amazing, but I knew of it's flaws and they bothered me. I don't have equipment to make custom acrylic cutouts with pass thru's, etc and distro plates and I guess I'm trying to achieve what some of these amazing builders do but the truth is they are much better equipped than I am. My pass thru plate was handmade, looked good but wasn't perfect, etc. So I gave it another go in my NV7, did love the way it came out, but honestly for my daily rig I decided to just go back to an AIO, performs just as good, looks great, and working on it for any changes, etc are great. I do plan on getting the next gen X3D chips when they release, maybe vertical mounting the GPU, etc and this is just much easier to do in this config.

Also, this Arctic Liquid 360 cools as good as my custom loop due to it's offset mounting, it really is a great AIO. Sold my custom loop stuff made money back and some and the rig still runs as good and looks as good. Sorry for such long explanation, hope that explains it.

PS: I still have my V3000 Plus which I eventually will do a full custom loop on it again in the future, when I have a chance to make my own water cooling parts, etc. Have it done just the way I like :) That has been my favorite case I've ever used.

Yeah that's the problem i'm facing. If i get into full custom loops it isn't going to be some boring looking pre-arranged kit or affordable custom loop with standard parts, its gotto be the full cake with a feast for the eye candy fanatic. Right now i agree AIOs are nailing it terms of performance and some of that aesthetic appeal, maybe that day will never come.

Also i'm curious what display/software are you using for the hardware monitoring stats. I've been using CAM for over 5 years now which offers a clean UI with its side widget. Not really familiar with other non-proprietary alternatives which gives off a similar look but i'm liking your simply layout

Yeah, so I went into the whole custom, unique type stuff and I think in my V3000 Plus build I nailed it as far as doing a nice "different" loop, but i wasn't happy with my pass thru's and I wanted to do a custom panel to fit in the back of the MB tray for cable routing and just found it too hard to make my own so eventually got to where I am now with the NV7. This was my V3000 Plus build.

Thanks! I will get around to it again, but this time it'll be perfect :) Some time in the future. I still have the case.

A few updates, in order:

Got a 4TB SN 850X for games. (No photo.)

Upgraded screen. My Mom has my "old" FO48U because needs a large screen with lots of tabs open. A win win if I say so. 48" was a little too big. 42" is around the sweet spot. Maybe 38-40" is the best for 4k?

Cleared out the old couches for more VR stuff.

Made a WireGuard server for local VPN use. I need to sometimes use my real local IP and it decreases ping a bit. Has an old 2 core 2 thread CPU. Upgraded to 16GB of 1333 MHz DDR3. Put in a old 120GB SSD. Its a bit overkill for WG and it somehow has gigabit networking. Which honestly surprised me.

IMG_2879.jpg

Overall my plans are to upgrade when Zen 5 and 50 series come out.
My used RTX 4090 will be sold to a family member, sold to a friend, or sold online for a little below what the asking price is.
Of course I will only sell the GPU when I get a RTX 5090. (Do I need it? No, I want it though.)
The 7950X is going to be used in a server PC. It's going to serve as a gaming server hoster, NAS, and maybe I will shift WG onto it.

Good day!

BTW, realized I never answered your question about the display/software. It's an 8.8" display from Amazon, and for software I use AIDA 64, and the template is from Orishas Tech. Hope that helps.

I just came up with a new game - it's called "College Apartment or Room Scale VR Setup". ;)

I know I know. Do you just prefer a bit more chaos in the case or...? You said it was too clean for you.
I use soft tubes so I like to have a little chaos :D

Just out of my mental health's capabilities to put hardtubes.... too much hassle to even think about a hardloop, damn.
I understand. Nothing wrong with soft tube. I actually did a soft tube build for someone recently and then he decided to go hard tube as I was finishing it up, so I took it apart and did hard tube, so never got pics but it was turning out super nice. This was a soft tube build I did many years ago, like 2015 or something when I got into water cooling.

Last night's and today's project. Bonus points for the xtra-smexy GPU.

In the middle of some TM5. Let the tweaking begin....
That GT210 throwback....I know it's just "a boot GPU", but still looks so tiny in that clean rig.

It's been a while since I posted. Finally got my loop torn down for maintence and rebuilt the water cooling loop to a more optimal arrangement.

It does look lost in there. It's a slightly newer, but not much faster GT710. I somehow missed that the board didn't have any video outputs, so luckily I had that GPU in a cabinet.

I was able to finally finish the build up today with all the drives, fans, and the GPU.

Its a bit of a shame that the ERA ITX case didn't get very good reviews due to abysmal airflow. Its such a pretty case!

At least thermals won't be an issue since its only got a i5-12600 in it and is primarily used for online banking and Excel spreadsheets. Definitely went overboard with trying to make it silent, probably didn't need 5 case fans for a system that draws less than 50W most of the time.

Apparently, it's too silent. After replacing the stock fan of the APX120-67 with a P12 Max, you can no longer hear when the computer turns on or wakes from sleep. Whoops.
