So...a toothbrush company sponsored a video about water cooling...where LMG decided to pin critical comments that contradict what was stated in their video instead of fixing it.
What an absolute pair of clown shoes.
When LMG decided to call out other youtube commenters about data...effectively throwing rocks inside their very glass house...they lost any sort of rational believability. They've long since been about the sponsorships...but when you cannot be trusted to run basic data and admit that it's a problem you know about and will not address...then maybe it's time to take off the big boy shoes and hit those size 26 clown shoes on. Honk-honk.
Reading through the comments...apparently rubber hoses are "conductive," nobody knows that anti-freeze exists, and none of this incomprehensible junk is even a bit suspect. My anecdote for you is that three times in a decade I drained a socket 2011 system that I watercooled. Bought a gallon of de-ionized water from the store, added about two tablespoons of pH balancer from a fish tank, and never saw my blocks look like the garbage they claimed. Water in the system was clear the day I drained it, clear when I refilled it, and my only concerns were finger prints on the nickel plated block that made the thing less than mirror finish over time. Based on the garbage they showed they took heavily chlorinated tap water and sealed the system without letting it off-gas...because if you can remove nickel plating inside a water block with a toothbrush there's some shenianigans.
Whatever...Linus is still making money hand over fist. I'm just glad now it takes a toothbrush company to sponsor a video...because it seems like any decent outfit already knows they're sensationalist media with their life expectancy already ticking after pissing of so many other respectable outlets...and then doubling down. It's Kotaku levels of beautiful train wreck.
