Your PC ATM

Anybody here with a Lian Li V3000+ case? I want to get some cabling inspiration/ideas
cabling as in the backside or in the front? I can show you my V3000 Plus build but I never got to do the custom panel for the back for cable routing. I bought the aluminum brackets and all to do it, just tore it down before I got to it.

My plan was to upgrade to i7 14700K, but now I reconsidered and wait at least for Arrow Lake S , if all is looking positive I may buy into new platform this year.
GPU upgrade will come once the PC version of GTA 6 is released somewhere in 2026 or maybe even 2027..

I'm looking forward to the new gen intel stuff, and also the next gen Ryzen X3D chips. Can't wait to see what kind of performance uplift each side brings

Well guys and gals, I'd been sorting through a few bits and pieces and I've been doing a bit of testing with some of the kit here I've got so I got it up and running and checked out with WCG and FAH to make sure all was OK... So here's some pics, and with a little question at the end for someone or all to answer....

So a few builds there, so I was wondering... Since I'm having some issues in with life at the moment, I thought I'd probably be best to have something to focus on that I can do something with and do well, so since I love building PCs and such, I'd like you guys and gals to help me pick, what hardware to go with what....

So we have -

Ryzen 2700 + 64GB + EVGA RTX 3070 ?? I'm wondering if it needs a CPU upgrade at this point as well...
Ryzen 5950X + 64GB + EVGA RTX 3080 ??
Intel i9 7980XE + 32GB + EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin ??

Now in the pics I've also got some spare cooling of air coolers, AIO coolers and I can find enough parts I'm sure to do a custom loop as well (maybe for each??) but I'd like everyone here to pick, what would you partner any of the hardware together with???

When people have replied I'll try and get something built... Might be on a test bed type thing as it'll probably be used for WCG and Folding At Home firstly but it should do just fine with anything else whatsoever :) I might consider trying to get some bigger drives - possibly NVME drives - to just try and keep the cables from the PSU at a minimum....

So, what can anyone suggest or say they'd like me to build? :) I'll get some more pics up and in the WCG / FAH crunching section, that needs a boost as since the change over, there's been a big drop in people contributing and I'd love to get some/all of them back :) Answers on a post card for the fix for that!! :)

Skylake build. Actually I'm surprised how decent 6700K OC is still even this day.

I had a R5 3600 build as a 2nd PC before but my friend wanted to upgrade, so we swapped parts and I got some cash from him.

You're not allowed to get rid of that Impact, ever. That would be illegal. Impact is my baby.

:D Nice hardware

Yes, I am kinda lost ATM..I just connected everything and just slapped everything with the velcro at the back, I kinda regret not knowing the backside was glass, I was just allured with the side and front.

Sorry for the late response, I was out for an official work travel.

Unfortunately only picture I have of the build when it was together is this one. I don't have this build anymore, those components are now in my new case.

so you made a custom plate for the bottom?

Yes I did. I don't have the tools to do one out of acrylic so I did one out of some plastic sheets I got off Amazon, then I marked and drilled the holes. It was very sturdy. Then I wrapped it in matte black wrap since it went better with the finish of the case instead of gloss black did.

And then there is that one guy that just has to be different..

Its like a cherry on top

I justy ordered some new fans, they are white Thermalright 140s.. should be here tomorrow :D

I think I broke an RGB cable somewhere in the loop, so I gave up. I might order the black Fractal 180s for my case :D

Bugs me having something broken.. tingles my OCD the wrong way..

My new PC/stuff... this is just a budget rig to hold me over until my dream rig.

@freeagent I didn't even budge past 65 celsius in demanding games with that FC140 :) and thats with my 5.2 all core oc

I have to figure out what I want to do with mine. I think my oldest son will get my rig, and my youngest will get his.. and this little guy can hang out with me

I also did a full dusting on my case with this new install. Took about 30 minutes, but my rig looks completely brand new lol

I really like this mobo too, was affordable yet has Intel 2.5gb lan (and it works good surprisingly) and wifi 6e 160hz 2x2 built in and bluetooth 5.3, and it has 4 nvme slots... really surprising for budget board. I love it so far. When I tried the 13600k on launch day i had horrible coil whine issues with gigabyte mobo, and constant ram issues. i have had 0 issues with this build and with my 5600x3d build before this one.

:)

That looks amazing. Got a side pic of the build? Great job!

it's the exact same looking as before, :D

i love the metal silver look with my red black case. i am so impressed with XFX I stuck with them again, and the MSI B550 mobo is now MSI Z790 mobo. (B550 mobo is in garbage bin cause I was an idiot and broke it by accident)

i have a red colored pencil cut exactly to give the end of the gpu a little support, its not in this picture, but you can see it here in the Z790 picture:

New, bad camera sadly:

not sure why I thought it was a new build, maybe the angle I don't know. Either way, sexy! :)

it is a new build. new gpu, new cpu, new mobo.

re-used ram, heatsink, psu, case.

ah okay so I wasn't entirely crazy, just re-used some components. Regardless if you re-used case or what not, still lookin' hella nice.
