AMD on Monday said that its 2024 Computex Keynote address slated for June 3, will see a slew of next-generation product announcements. "Join us as Dr. Lisa Su delivers the Computex 2024 opening keynote and shares the latest on how AMD and our partners are pushing the envelope with our next generation of high-performance PC, data center and AI solutions," the brief release said.

AMD is widely expected to unveil its next-generation Ryzen 9000 "Strix Point" mobile processors for AI PCs capable of powering the recently announced Microsoft Copilot+, its next-generation Ryzen 9000 "Granite Ridge" desktop processors, its 5th Generation EPYC "Turin" server processors, and possibly even its next-generation Radeon RX RDNA 4 generation. At the heart of all its processor announcements is the new "Zen 5" CPU microarchitecture that's expected to introduce an over 10% IPC improvement with significant improvements in AVX512 performance over "Zen 4," which should benefit certain kinds of AI workloads.

11800x3d :D. I hope AMD will not end up like intel's CPUs naming. Long and a drag.

From what the leaks said, zen 5 will be of a noticeable improvement in comparison to 4th. I only hope that will be the case. I wonder, if AMD will make x3d chips aside regular or will this x3d will end up as a norm. I'm also curious will there be any advancements in the x3d cache limitations we have seen in previous versions. I only hope AMD will not squeeze frequency and ruin the consumption.

It would be nice to see some good step forward with the graphics though. Cheaper and faster is my goal :)

As a gamer who's already on Zen 4, Zen 5 with its 10% IPC uplift is not that interesting to me.

As a gamer who's just sold a 7800 XT to save up for summer holidays, RDNA 4 seems way more interesting, as it launches just when I'll be looking for a replacement. I hope it'll be good and priced well.

and possibly even its next-generation Radeon RX RDNA 4 generation
Zero chance! AMD only mentioned "high-performance PC, data center and AI solutions". There's no mention of graphics.

Same using 7800X3D.
The regular Zen5 won't be that much interesting to me for gaming.

Just wait for 9800X3D.

i thought they would rename their product line rAIzen and start over from 1000
Lol. And they are in California too!

Why don’t you think discrete graphics are included in the “high performance PC” category? GPUs have performance and they are found in PCs.

A PC usually includes a discrete GPU. Just saying.

It's going to be something even more stupid: Ryzen AI 9 HX 170 and so on.
Huh? The article mentions "Ryzen 9000 series".

And if you click the source AMD says none such thing. Strix will have some dumb AI name and Granite Ridge will be 9000 series.

Definitely excited for Zen 5 / 9700X / 9800X3D announcements, whenever they come.
