Still got one of these old things cooling my HP 830.

Its a fairly seasoned skillet. Done multiple tours of Hong kong with me.

I wanted to crack it open and give the fan bearings a drop of oil a while back but Zalman used some sort of adhesive along with the screws to keep it together.

Here's my Mo-Ra420 setup.
When you blow the air against the wall, you get a significant portion of this air recirculating throught the rad. If you blew it the opposite direction straight in the room, a lot less air would recirculate.

I've changed CPU coolers since this picture, and the GPU ducts look a little sharper too, I just can't be arsed taking the PC out for another high quality photo.

While I've water-cooled before, optimized air cooling just has my heart for results, simplicity, reliability and aesthetics.

Nah we good , ive tested the whole setup top to bottom. My setup now tops at 33c water temps at 25c ambient. A20's running at 650-700 rpm while the P14 Arctic's running at 900 rpm. Thats with the gpu running at almost 400w

Nah its just Rd/black carbon sleeving.

Great! I bet the water temperature would decrease even more if you blew the air the opposite direction.
Certainly a good point made here, for example the delta-T between ambient and the cooling liquid in my rig is mostly around 3 degrees Celsius.

If you don't want to change the airflow direction, think about something like a shroud on the backside of the MoRa, where the exhausting air is forced to be going upwards.
Should be easy to test with an improvised shroud made of cardboard or so, to see if it works.

Why pay for a custom loop when I get the same if not better temps for $70CAD?

For an X3D part I think even an AIO is not necessary let alone a loop :)
For the looks of course. ;)

sure, if you have a +20y board that cant shutdown the sys based on temp.

20y with 50 build for me/fam/friends and customers, +1000 rigs worked on in repair shops, and short of a DOA cheap Coolermaster AIO,
not a single loop/AIO/pump died (incl when i used aquarium pumps), while i replaced +20 (stock) air coolers.

completely ignoring a non-fan error when powering up and the pump doesnt work, if you know what you are doing/care to do it right, there is stuff like (mechanical) flow indicators,
to show, if the pump is working...

runs cooler than most liquid cooled rigs.

What's different about this build (other than the specs)?

1. All air cooled
2. So quiet, you won't find it in the room with your eyes shut
3. Runs very cool temps: video cards under load and benchmarks don't exceed 50C, CPUs under load don't exceed 48C, normal operation is about—-> 24-30 C for CPUs and 31-37 C for video cards.
4. Dual video cards are inverted so warm air is directed away from CPUs and motherboard, everything stays frosty. room temps in our house are normally 69-71F
5. Open design
6. Dual Epic board with Resizable BAR
7. Fan speeds can be:
as low as 400 rpm on cpus
as low as 450 on nvme array drives
and completely stopped for GPUs when idle
8, It has a metal perforated cover that covers only one side, but I have it off in the pics

I just need a slim fan as an exhaust. Had only two which are in the top rad.

Core Specs:
2x 4090 RTX Founders Edition
2x AMD 7773x Epyc (128/256 cores), Gigabyte MZ72-HB0 Dual socket motherboard
1 TB RAM DDR4 ECC LRDIMMs 1600W+ digital power supply

Asus PA32UCG-K monitor, MS Data Center 2022 & Ubuntu, Air cooled, cool temps, relatively small case

Some perfs:
data write speeds in excess of 50.6 Gb/s

Benches:

What's different about this build (other than the specs)?

1. All air cooled
2. So quiet, you won't find it in the room with your eyes shut
3. Runs very cool temps: video cards under load and benchmarks don't exceed 48C, CPUs under load don't exceed 46C, normal operation is about—-> 24C for CPUs and 31C for video cards.
4. Dual video cards are inverted so warm air is directed away from CPUs and motherboard, everything stays frosty. room temps in our house are normally 69-71F
5. Open design
6. Dual Epic board with Resizable BAR

What's is its purpose:
Personal PC for doing school work, dialing into work on occasion, emails, surfing web, doing some AI CNN NLM for medical, and gaming at maximum resolution with all eye candy on.

Had to use a 120mm fan so I could fit an M.2 adaptor. Should have got the big Torrent :kookoo:

Oh!

I also got brave and pulled the card apart for some fresh TIM. The good news is it still works, the other news is not as big as a gain as I thought I would get. Clocks are more stable, so that is good. Not that it was a problem before, it just seems a bit happier.

If that equates to above 90 Freedom degrees and more humidity than should be possible. Fully understand.
Heat forced me to employ a highly effective cooling solution for my already on the edge GPU.

Loop. Assembled. Again.
