AIOs on a roll recently. These prices should affect the next gen air coolers. I can't see how be quiet's, corsair's and even noctua's can sell at 100$~ range while 360mm AIOs are at this price.

ID Cooling is already pretty much the best bang for buck option where I live imo, for both AIR and AIOs.
Most likely if I ever replace my current one it will be another cooler from ID since they also have more options here than lets say Thermalright. 'they are also more expensive here'

Well there is the Liquid Freezer III 240 / 360 (38mm) €61.35 / €76.15 incl. socket bending correction bracket.(Shipping) €5.99
and even better Freezer 36 black (air tower kills any AIO at €20.51) throttles at very similar 299 W

those are throw away fans basically, like a an entry fork on a bike but it does the job. no other standalone option sadly.

Not bad, but unlike my ALF280II, the fan/pumps wires arent combined and there is no VRM cooling.

The SE-224XT used to be the go-to £17 cooler and now it fluctuates between £27-35.

The FC140 is also ~£27 and there's simply no contest. One is an ultra-basic, cheap, 4-pipe direct-contact cooler with a plastic cap that was okay at £17. The other is a 140mm, dual-tower, dual-fan, nickel-coated, copper base-plated, metal-finished monster of a cooler with a superior mounting system and vastly more performance - especially for today's hot and hungry CPUs.

Companies can't have unique distribution partners in every place on earth. I suspect a large proportion of the pricing disparity is down to how close your region is to one of the manufacturers major distribution hubs, and how much additional tax/duty that distribution network pays in your particular country.

Thermalright and ID seem to make comparable/equivalent quality products - it's simply a case of whether you can get them at sensible pricing or whether your region's combination of distance from hub and taxes/paperwork shenanigans on cross-border items from that hub make something's price unappealing.
