The SilverStone Kublai 07E is an evolution of the original Kublai 07 - also known as the KL07. While some time has passed since then, Silverstone has tweaked the chassis, resulting in the Kublai 07E, aiming to contend with a sound dampened experience while utilizing modern hardware.

You've probably answered this before. Why isn't the Lexar SATA SSD listed in the sytems specs under storage along with the Toshiba HDD and Lexar NM800PRO?

Probably the most amusing aspect. Come on, guys, a pack of those, like a 100, costs what, 5 bucks at a hardware store? Maybe 10, depending on where you are. You couldn’t include some?

Sad to see that Silverstone is out of touch. Even compared to their older chassis, this looks bleak. For this amount of money, there are miles better alternatives. Lian Li Lancool III, Corsair 5000D, Fractal Design North, be quiet Silent Base 802, to name the few.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
Perfectly good understated workstation case for a modest build that doesn't need a 4090 in it. Believe it or not, Office computers go under desks and nobody looks at them, unless they have glass panels or stupid lights - and then they complain about them and say they're stupid.

I wish SS made an mATX air-cooled variant with office-acceptable, steel-panelled styling like this, without all the additional headroom above the board for radiators. The TJ08-E wasn't 50mm taller than it needed to be just to add radiators in the roof, it was specifically for air cooling.

These dampened silent cases are pretty much a relic of the past when you really wanted some way to deal with hard disk drive noise. It's nice they exist for someone somewhere that might want it I guess.

They're not. Some are great at hiding pretty common and hated noises like coil whine or pumps. They also make computer as a whole sound less intrusive, so easier to drown out by e.g. sounds from the speakers. Simply nicer to ear and also less tiring during longer sessions what is crucial for workstations. So this kind of cases are about quality of noise coming from computer. In comparison rig put in popular mesh cases sounds like shit, because such case does nothing and only exposes all of the noises with open construction. Ofc it all depends on properties of dampening material used and how well built case is.

They have cases with large data storage room, those are the cases that really need a sound dampening update for the loud 20TB+ drives.

And that's why this is one case I would buy today were I not in need of optical drive bays.

If they are that cheap, buy some yourself and keep them on hand for other stuff.

That's no reason for a $100+ case to not include the kitchen sink.
