Phanteks took the Computex 2024 show by force, showing off several new and improved cases, including the new Evolv X², the Eclipse G400A and G400N, which are successors to the P400 line, upgraded NV5 MKII and NV9 MKII cases, and the new Enthoo Pro II Server Edition XL case for the server market.

The star of the show is definitely the new Evolv X², a case that Phanteks says is redefined to fit modern consumer needs. It certainly has the modern and refined aesthetic to appeal to the wider audience, with brushed aluminium interior panels and full front to side glass panel. Some of the key features include integrated cable management, key fan positions to cool down and show off most hardware components, as well as support for rear-connector mainboard, something that most modern motherboards will have.

In addition to the Evolv X², Phanteks also brought the successor to the popular Eclipse P400/P400A series, the new Eclipse G400A/G400N series. The new Eclipse series will get a whole new design in order to further maximize airflow, mostly thanks to a brick pattern mesh design, as well as a front-air inlet for further air intake. It also comes with integrated cable management and support for rear-connector motherboards. The Eclipse G400A will come with the new NEXLINQ hub, that will simplify D-RGB and fan control with a single cable, while the G400N also gets a dual tempered glass with window for sleeved cables.

Phanteks also showcased its new NV5 MKII and NV9 MKII PC cases which are simple updates to the previously available and popular NV5 and NV9 PC cases, but now these will come with an update for rear-connector motherboards.

Phanteks was also keen to note that it has heard the community, and the result is the new Enthoo Pro II Server Edition XL motherboard, which got bigger and better in order to fit all server needs. The new XL version of the Enthoo Pro II Server Edition can now support dual PSUs, with both ATX and Server PSUs, gets dual-chamber design for more flexible cooling options, as well as higher airflow due to the new brick pattern mesh.

In addition, the new Enthoo Pro II Server Edition XL supports up to 20 120 mm fans or 15x 140 mm fans, has eight and 10 SSD locations, has Dual PSU Capability, 10 PCI Slots, and the aforementioned Dual Chamber design.

Phanteks shared some prices and most of the new cases should be coming to the market soon. The Evolv X² is priced at $149.99/€149.90, the Eclipse G400A and G400N will go for $99.99/€99.90 and $129.99/€129.90, the redesigned NV5 MKII and NV9 MKII will sell for $109.99/€109.90 and $249.99/€249.90, while the Enthoo Pro II - Server Edition XL comes with a $269.99/€269.90 price tag.

The Evolve X2 is gorgeous. If the final product ends up retaining that design, it will probably be my next case.

Good stuff coming out of the Phanteks camp, for sure. However, even with the Evolv X getting an update, I'm just not "feeling" the design of it compared to my Evolv X. To me, it just looks like yet another glass-on-3-sides-fish-tank case. The Evolv X is (still) a sexy case design, with its soft curves, sci-fi design, and thick sand-blasted aluminum panels... But this new one...not so much, at least to me.

I thought it was a run-of-the-mill 5.25" drive bay cover, but you're right
Nope. It's just a little door for the front I/O. My Evolv X has the same thing. Helps keep dust out of the ports and whatnot.
