ever saw Wall-E? where poeple hang everything to AI/robot and they can't do anything than commanding? at some points all i can see close to that, you don't need to know anything just writing then AI will do the rest, if not meet your favor, just rewrite again.
AI at some level learn about us what we like, which one is which one, one side to get the job done but one side "they" will know everything about us
and yea, lets we say AI will have a huge database about human and everything, you just need to unlock the manufacturing capability and ability to take decision further so we gonna have the Skynet era, just cross your finger they not gonna wipe us to protect the planet

btw AI is good when you wanna create some hot girls too :D :D :D

I haven't see Wall-E though I've seen short circuit your moma was a snowblower... I mean eventually AI will absolutely be able to mostly guess what you're thought patterns essentially do what you have in mind. It's pretty close to that already honestly, but the inference messes up a good bit on various things that it just isn't trained well enough for quite yet with today's hardware.

Also that was a rewrite :roll:of earlier lyrics/song that went like this...
(Verse 1)
In the heart of the mountain's core,
Where the ale flows free and there's mirth galore,
There's a smol dwarf with a mighty roar,
Drank so much, still craves for more.

(Chorus)
Dorf it be, dorf it is, dorf with an axe in hand,
One more pint, two more pints, till he can barely stand.
"Only had a pint!" he swears, but we all understand,
When the dorf gets liquored up, he's the fiercest in the land.

(Verse 2)
With a beard as long as tales of old,
And a spirit bold, never controlled,
He swings his axe, his stories unfold,
In the bar where dwarven songs are tolled.

(Bridge)
"Fiz liquored," they chant, as the night grows deep,
Another round, another leap,
Into tales where dragons sleep,
And treasures that the mountains keep.

(Chorus)
Dorf it be, dorf it is, dorf with an axe to grind,
Bar fights erupt, mugs collide, but it's all in good kind.
"I swear I only had a pint!" echoes in his mind,
One more drink, then another, till the morning light they find.

(Verse 3)
In the tavern's glow, the dorf stands tall,
Or so he thinks, 'til he takes a fall,
Claims he's ready for a brawl,
But can't find his axe—it's now a shawl!

(Chorus)
Dorf it be, dorf it is, wrapped in wool, he's grand,
One more pint, three more pints, till he's lost the stand.
"Only had a pint!" he cries, with a shawl in hand,
When the dorf's all wrapped up, he's the warmest in the land.

(Verse 4)
Now, our dorf's a legend, stout and merry,
In his ale-fueled dreams, he's quite the fairy,
Dances on tables, light and airy,
Till he wakes in barrels, hairy and scary!

(Bridge)
"More fiz, more buzz," they cheer, as the ale pours like rain,
Another song, another dance, in the dorf's tipsy domain,
Where the ale's the magic, and the dorf's the arcane,
In the morning, he'll swear, "It was just a pint again!"

(Chorus)
Dorf it be, dorf it is, dorf in a barrel, round,
Rolls down the hill, thumps abound, but he's safe and sound.
"I swear I only had a pint!" but in ale, he's drowned,
One more roll, then another, till he's tavern-bound.

Pure cringe:

When did computer marketing become so idiotic? :(

When they went from saying algorithms to "AI".
It's not even an algorithm anymore - just a badge on literally every product showcased on Computex, including PSUs, cases and mice.

in order to reach the largest amount of stupid people, one must have the proper message so my guess would be around the exact time computers started to be sold to the general public.

They should have hired Ali G to walk around saying Aiii

I won't buy a toaster unless it has AI in it!

I want fans with AI!..

Are you suggesting that "AI" is just a replacement of the words "Extreme" and "Gamer"? That makes sense.

it's the Corinthian leather of the tech world

AI branding is what Gaming branding used to be, up until this point in time. I feel equally disgusted by both. The problem is that AI is a more malicious term in this case, as it could imply a lot more than a simple hobby.

Those old ads are hilarious tho

More like RGB > AI.

I mean algorithms are actually something. This is nothing. Its empty, just like RGB adding absolutely nothing in terms of functionality

AI is just the new buzz acronym like Gaming and Extreme and RGB and a number of others over the decades of PC's Servers or Workstations and the associated peripherals that go along with them

I'll watch just to see if there is cat marketing in DeMeowZer's viddy-o...I can't spell his name w/o looking it up. I'm not alone I don't believe get a name like Steve that's easy to spell. :p

As it should be with toast...never again shall you get burnt toast because someone else changed the dial or you cooked bagel instead of a waffle instead of toast. That seems like a great prank switch someone toast with a bagel or a waffle.

If I wanted AI I would vote. Cut and Dry.

You can tell marketing is very serious when they all collectively abandon their same marketing ploy a year or two later. Their on to us quick come up with a new buzzword.

I thought those where supposed to be smart fans? I'm totally confused now.
Let's not even get started on the word "smart" applied to everything that has more than 2 buttons. Smart fridges, smart washing machines, even smart shoes, (dumb people), etc.

Maybe that's why we need artificial intelligence... Because the original one is gone. :ohwell:

I can see both sides of the argument. I mean no matter which way you slice it, its going to end up leaving less jobs for real humans to do. And in a sense, thats a good thing. No point having a job if it there's no productive value in it, we should strive to be as productive as possible.

When farming techniques advanced, lots of people were left without jobs. And what happened? They found new jobs, as engineers and eventually software developers, jobs we couldn't have even imagined 150 year ago. The thing is, a lot of low hanging fruit has been picked already, I think new technologies are going to be harder and harder and harder to come by.

So... to what end? Society becomes more and more productive, meanwhile less and less of the people are able to enjoy the fruits of said productivity. IDK who's gotten ahold of western politicians balls lately. Governments used to have no trouble giving big industry the boot if they were becoming too powerful or exploiting people. Now it seems like all the govenment wants to do is nothing. Just wait and see. And I get it, you make so many mistakes over the years, the lessons learned become overwhelming until you're paralyzed in fear of doing anything.

But man Russsia has been in a full scale war with Ukraine in the heart of Europe and there's still those that haven't woken up to what this really means. Climate change is getting so bad that rivers are drying up all over the place and previously fertile farmland is being eroded away.

I think AI has the possibility to do good. But not the kind of AI we have now ( the kind that just reads stuff humans have wrote and reguritates it in a way that doesn't make any sense). But lets say we overcome that, we're going to need strong regulation to keep corporations in line. And if it really does lead to a catastrophe like 50% unemployment rate or something like that, then govenrments are going to have to start thinking about universal basic income. Are they ready for that?

Man its hard to talk about ai without getting into absolutely everything else. Anyway I hope I didn't break the rules here, I didn't mean to say x party is responsible or anything, just that governments in general really need to get ahead of this.

I think the goal of any new technology should be to replace menial work with machine work. Then, people could spend the extra time to educate themselves to train those machines. I work at a warehouse where sometimes I encounter people who fear that robots are gonna take over their jobs. I say, bring it on! I'd gladly give my job to a robot if that meant I could do something else. If they use AI for this, I'm all in.

On the other hand, if they want to use AI to replace creative work, such as art, while keeping humans do manual labour, then no, that's just wrong. For one, AI-generated art is usually trash, and for two, what's the point in any technology if it only brings us back to the Middle Ages in terms of job satisfaction and productivity? There's got to be more to life than that.

There are some really strong opinions about these matters from both sides, so let's not even get started. ;)

Yes, that is the benefit of technology, which why I said we should strive for as much productivity as posssible. Thats what makes capitalism great after all, people, all driven by self interest, inadvertantly help society as a whole by introducing new technology that benefits everybody.

I do worry this system has a breaking point though. What happens then things get so efficient, and wealth gets so concentrated, that the only people who actually benefit from the increase in productivity, are those who run the operations? And what about when technology gets to the point where there is no longer room for the little guy to weasel his way in? If there's less startups, there's less pressure on the big guys, and they feel free to raise prices and destroy pretty much every guiding principle that got them to where they are (looking at you, google.)

I mean there are anti-trust laws on the books, but they're not really being enforced. Here in Canada, Rogers, and Shaw just merged, basically the two biggest mobile and internet providers in the country. Since this happened, my internet bill has gone up from $80 a month to $122. Literally every time I look at it, its gone up. Like come on, if thats not a god damn monopoly, what is? Why can't the govenment come in with sledgehammers like they did in the rockefeller days? Capitalism only works if there's legit competition, and if companies get too big, you have essentially removed one of its core components. I personally do not like where this is heading unless of course, we get some protection in the forum of legislation, but it seems that is harder and harder to do these days with society being so divided.

Well there really shouldn't be, besides the only reason I put that there was to illustrate how slow governments are to react to threats these days. If a conventional ground war in europe and the degredation of our life giving resources on earth don't move people to action... what will? AI? I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt any serious action being taken ( call me pessimistic, I guess I am). And if there's no regulation, sure maybe some people will use it for good, in medical research for example, but you and I both know 10x as many people will see it as took to increase quartely profits.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if regulators do not get ahead of AI, I predict it will lead to a decline in living standards, not the other way around.

That's assuming those in menial tasks have the ability to learn, I don't think many are there by choice.
Quite a few people will be excluded from the tight job market by the increased use of Ai, leading to social disorder in the long run.

Yeah, I mean, I believe in capitalism, or rather, I believe there has to be some element of competition for a society to be prosperous. But at the same time, there's always gong to be losers in a system like that, which is why I believe there needs to be a safety net for people who just can't make it in the rat race. Doesn't mean they have to be rich, own the newest smartphone, or even drive a car, but for there to be people starving and freezing to death in the richest country in the history of the world - something just doesn't sit quite right with me about that.

Other advanced economies, to varying degrees have solved this problem. Who would have known? Providing a small living quarters to somebody is actually cheaper in tax payer dollars than treating them for hypothermia multiple times a year.

Anyway, AI can help or hurt this problem, just depends on how we deal with it, and I personally, don't exactly have great confidence. Though I hope I'm wrong.
