I bought this yesterday and looked at videos on them ,i could not see one with my exact modal.I like the way it is easy to get stuff out of there.I have tried the PSU you can see it working 2035 ,so there is no problem with the PSU.I have looked at the manual on here but no picture of the motherboard. :( Looking on the board i can,t see where the front panal connector's go.o_OIt would be nice to get it going, but don,t see how without a picture of the motherboard.Someone on one forum said there might be a problem with the on off button.Where do i start? It is no good taking the board out if i cant connect a power button ,i can,t see a speaker or where to put one. o_O

Is the bottom slot populated with a sound card, there appears to be a buzzer on that.
Also older Motherboards like that will have the FP connector positions silk screened adjacent to the pins.
Front Panel connectors are on the bottom right corner of that board.

Plug everything back together and if you can find the front power button pins on the motherboard take a flat head screw driver and bridge those two pins to see if the system powers up.

Oh, another timeless generic design made of pure unobtanium? How charming.

You might want to read the board.

You can buy a basic power button or trip it with a flat head screwdriver.

I have a few of these in a draw somewhere. Always handy when youre doing a lot of diagnosing of faulty computers. You can also rip them out of old computer cases if you dont want to buy them.

I don,t think you can take the front cover off.

I have put it in there I have tried it where i thought the power switch should go ,I have got all the screws out of the board and it went come out not come out . I see the buzzer is just just above that connector.I don,t know why it want come out, there were loads of screws in there.

You missed the center screw under the RAM latch tabs.
Should be 3 across the top, 3 across the middle, 2 across the bottom (mATX board).

Quick post as I have to step out. But having worked on one of these years ago, I vaguely remember the board is very similar to the Asus P4T-M though the front panel pin-outs are different.

Manual: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock423/850/p4t-m/p4tm-100.pdf?model=P4T-M
Thanks budget_Optiplex :)i looked at it is very simuler to my one.
Even on the video i put on here he thought the motherboard was made by ASUS and this guys was a ASUS motherboard.

I have looked on my board and it says P4T-LE rev 1.03 but i can,t see any Asus boards with that number.I guess the board i have was made specially for Sony.Lot of P4T modals though :(I replaced the CMOS battery and it started spinning .But now it spins for a few seconds and turns off.:(As you can see it needs a good clean.

I Have just tried the two drives and the HDD and none of them work :( So perhaps it was not such a good deal for £1o_OIf the floppy or the board work it could be.
