Whenever there's a high single core load on the cpu(GameGuard, Jdownloader), temperatures go to 75-77°C, like instantly. Even if all the fans go at 100% cpu still runs above 70°C, while VRM, chipset, NVMe cools down quite a lot.

I repasted it with Arctic MX-6 and Noctua NT-H2 but no change, should I try out Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet PTM?

those temps are normal. this is what i have at idle on water. and i get about 70 ceslius on the cores in very demanding games like Jedi Survivor, but most games it never breaks even 60 celsius.

edit: also you have a very high ambient room temperature, so yeah those numbers are actually great when considering that. my ambient room temp is 20 celsius even. and its normal for a metal heatsink to heat up fast, that's the only real benefit of water.

Normal Ryzen behavior.... ST workloads typically show higher temperatures due to how voltages behave. I've seen this on pretty much every Ryzen system I've owned since 3000 with stock settings.

All core loads tend to be 5-8C lower.

40C idle is also pretty normal even with a 360 aio in a cool ambient 24-26C liquid temp.

Honestly those temps are good for a 80F room.

I had 83 celsius on 2 of the 8 cores in Jedi Survivor tonight, 20 ambient room temp, the tdie and cpu die were only like 77 celsius. first time i have seen cores get hotter than the tdie and cpu die reading.

Jedi Survivor is the only game that pushes my 7800x3d this hard though. 99% of other games i barely get hot at all. that was a 5 hr run too as I been gaming 5 hrs straight tonight :D

Although my 7950X3D runs in the low 30s at 72F if I have 0 gpu load

27c room temp, where do you live, it's 22 here. I'd be sweating my bum off at 27c.

Most of the summer I keep it 25c in the house. Seems warm at first glance, but it's supposed to be 43.5c outside today. 25c seems downright chilly.

25c is not chilly in the UK believe me, we're more used to 10-18c outside unless its a good summer.

Considering the ambient, i would be happy with them temps.

We try to keep it at 72-73 upstairs when it is 30c out. Downstairs where I am now is a bit chilly, all the windows in the house are open and it is 15c outside. 10c more to go for our high for the day.

Middle Europe. It's 35-45C at my workplace, I'm sweating buckets there, 27C room is godsend after shower.

Ryzens tend to spike easily to high temps under load. It’s normal. Consider it like the hotspot of GPUs, especially the Tctl/Tdie sensor.
If the average temp under low/medium load is lower than max reading then you’re ok.
Only under full 100% CPU load the min/max/avg temp should be around the same.

IDK why, my 7800x3d doesn't goes higher than 79°c, i used CPU-Z stress, why ?.. the limit is 10° higher !
First of all CPU-Z is not too much of a benchmark and second X3D SKUs have low frequency limit. If your CPU is reaching that frequency limit then it can’t heat up more.

Try another Heatsink like the ID-Cooling 207 advanced or thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO , better than the Noctua that you have. Repaste with some thermalright. Also, 76/77C with 27C ambient temp are good temps nothing to worry.
If you want to waste money and try, do it, if not these temps are good.
