Kodehawa, in this thread, already said that they have the same card and are also "missing" a capacitor.

Alright, that sucks. :/

I knocked one SMD cap off on a GTX 470 back in the day, I replaced it just with a random one. Dunno if that was wise but didn't affect negatively. Just a tip but don't do that if you are unsure :D

It is probably one of the most unpopular cards on the RDNA2 lineup x3

@:D:D
a friend of mine put a slightly bigger smd in place of the missing one, the first time he unsoldered a neighboring one to measure its capacity, then he put a slightly bigger one at the same capacity, because he didn't have a fixed one, it works without problems and with OC from 2000mhz to 2150mhz memory clock,
He also told me that it is not normal for one to be missing above the memory chip, even if I don't have a problem without that smd, but over time or when fully charged, I may have stability and lifetime problems over time.
@KrazyT
Thank you for cake but i like more one bottle of wine, from XFX who make this shit

Be careful about putting a capacitor where there should not be one.

Hi, i view you system spech you have the same video-card-XFX RX 6700 non-xt,so you have same me the missing smd-cap?
Yes, they already said that they are "missing" the same. Page 1, post #23.

Again, what makes you think that it is supposed to be there? What about the dozen others which also are "missing?". Why are you focusing on this? What is your concern or data?

Why ask questions if you don't read replies?

If you think one not installed SMD component equals that the factory did a mistake, I got bad news for you. Your GPU is missing tons of SMD components just from that image in the original post alone.

The PCB is used for multiple SKUs, some will require more/other SMD components. In addition it is common with "leftover" pads from development. They started with more SMD components installed, but as testing/optimisation progressed they were able to remove components and still run the product 100% stable.

So, there is nothing wrong with your GPU. At least not due to a never installed/required SMD component.
