Did you check if is your mouse ? I saw that your mouse is capable of 8000hz polling rate, maybe that's the culprit ? You should try with 1000hz.

I will try lowering it to 500hz and report back. I will also lower my keyboard polling rate from 1000hz to 500hz.

Seems like theres no more latencymon huge spikes, although the minimum latency has gone up a little. Perceived micro-stutters are gone too, for now.

Update: After unplugging every usb device from the io, the stutters would still occur. I went ahead and disabled fTPM completely in the bios, so now Windows doesn't recognize it anymore, and the stutters are completely gone.

Software A lot.
Benchmark Scores Its fast. Enough.
I have a new SSD that causes system stutters that latencymon doesn't show, up to 12 second hangs that also caused games to crash and me to think there was something wrong with the whole system.

The SSD tests fine according to Silicon Power software... still arguing with their tech support.

Always plug direct to motherboard when possible. Even some usb sticks draw much power that can cause issues when using case usb ports.

im not an electrician but you lose a bit of power/signal when you use case ports. Unless you use an amplified/powered usb hub

all my io on the rear was mobo io, not a hub or case io. The stutters are gone now with ftpm turned off. I had stutters even with front panel io disabled and unplugged. agesa 1.2.0ca

1. USB is crap.
2. High speed data interconnects, radiating at 2,4Ghz or 5GHz is a bad idea. Prone to errata's and interference, thus it may throttle and jitter so hard as USB protocol does, it may cause interrupts CPU interrupts as the driver may even time out.

Possible mitigations are better shielding. Put the wire in a different way, no coils!!!
USB 1.1/2.0 is fairly 'tolerant'. Once we moved into USB3, though? yeah...
[Last I looked, it appears 'the industry' at large is trying to make us forget the major teething problems with USB3 and WiFi not getting along.]

To this day, my Steam Deck outputs enough interferance when connected to a Hub/Dock, to interfere with Bluetooth and WiFi.
Valve *really* dropped the ball on the WiFI/BT radio, IMHO.

I've yet to find the time/motivation for it, but I've been thinking about using 'CAT7A' SF/FTP for custom Front Panel USB, audio, etc.
Also, 2-3 'runs' in parallel for custom PCIE+12V and CPU+12V/EPS cable leads.
'Still musing and occasionally researching whether the Shielding Foil should be Power Grounded or Chassis Grounded; on only one end, floating, or both ends.

Dude I still get frametime stutters and I only really notice them when scrolling. It takes a LOT to lag this system too.

It's probably fine.

Another update: stutters still gone, all my games and desktop latency are gone since disabling ftpm.

Last update (most likely): still no more stutters. I’ve noticed my games are a lot smoother and so is my desktop. I guess no more dumb ftpm for me. Gonna disable it right now on my 5800x3d lol.

Hey all, just wanted to let anyone that comes across this thread to know my issue ended up being my AMD gpu. Switched to nvidia and it's been COMPLETELY stutter free since. It seems as though my amd gpu was downclocking to 0hz whenever there was basically little to no load, causing stuttering when clocking back up to normal speeds. This becomes an issue especially in games when shaders are compiling and the cpu is busy, so the gpu thinks there is no load happening so downclocks very aggressively to save power. This also explains my stutters when switching from in-game menus into gameplay or loading up a youtube video from idle. No more WHEA 18 errors either or random reboots. Such a shame I had to waste more money to fix the issue but oh well.
