hello,

i use a Samsung S24D300 since 2017 --- Full HD, 1920x1080, 2ms response, 60Hrz, frame 16:9 and 1x HDMI
im looking for a bigger size (29" or 32") under 300€ and i don't need more gimmicks than those i have (no 4K)
my GPU is an "Asus Dual RTX 4070 OC 12Gb" and i play Skyrim, Valheim, Enshrouded and Elder Scrolls Online.

SPECS --- https://www.discomp.cz/samsung-mt-led-lcd-24-s24d300-1920x1080-2ms-hdmi-black_d58181.html

thank you for your advices.

PS: here's a pic of my setup - NO, the yellow box holding my monitor higher will not stay, if i get a bigger and heavier monitor with its own desktop 2 feet (like a tv does)

Uh, desired resolution? Refresh rate? Features? Shops available to you? You aren’t giving us a lot to go off. “Not 4K” isn’t enough.

hi,
im fine with 1080 HD, the 2ms i already have, 1 Hdmi - just a good brand with biggest size.
if you have a monitor in mind for 200/250 bucks with lots of new features, i wont say no LOL
Amazon or eBay are ok, but i will look up your suggested model at my local stores (Portugal)
PSS - i prefer a flat screen over a curved monitor, please! ...thank you.

Okay, well, to begin with - 1080p isn’t really great at bigger sizes. 24 inches is about where you want to be. Above that, 1440p is highly preferable. And you said 29-32 inches. I assume you meant 27 there, since 29 inchers are mostly 1080p UltraWides, and that’s another kettle of fish entirely.

Secondly, “2 ms I already have” is an irrelevant metric. Your screen isn’t actually 2 ms in terms of response times, barely any high-refresh LCDs are. I assume what you mean by that is that you’re fine with 60 Hz.

In summary, what I assume you want is a 27-32 inch 60 Hz screen. 1440p at that, by default, kinda. There’s a glut of those. Like, legitimately too many to give specific recommendations, especially in 27 inch sizes. They are pretty much solved tech at this point. So rather than trawl through them all, you can just go to your local shops site, filter monitors by 2560x1440p resolution and 27 inch (or 32) size, then see which models fall into your price range, post them here and then we can make more informed recommendations.

Since you have a Nvidia card, I would also look a monitor that has G-Sync or G-Sync compatible. Also, I would go with a 1440 display since your card can drive it just fine and you can always lower the resolution to 1080 if you need too.

Looking at the PC part picker link, one that jumped out to me for the price is the LG UltraGear 27GR75Q-B 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor.

what is AMD Free Sync Premium - is it the same as G Sync ? compatibility @Lost_Troll was mentioning...
It is AMD's version of G-Sync and the Pro version is usually compatible with G-Sync when run with the Display port connection.

Here is a video on how to enable it.......

As @Onasi says, 1440p 60Hz screens are common as dirt; if that's good enough for you, pick the cheapest one in your desired size. Unless you're one of those mythical people who can actually see more than 60 frames per second and play a lot of shooters, a higher refresh rate is unlikely to make a significant difference to you, but will cost more.

I will suggest that if you're going for 32", you strongly consider 4K and/or a curved display. 32" is the spot where curvature is no longer a gimmick, but sadly the most common at this size is 1500R which is too curved - you want the less curvy 1800R for an optimal experience.

Don't buy a 60Hz monitor in 2024 ! There are zero reasons to, once you select >144Hz refresh rate from your OS you will never go back to 60Hz not even for desktop use, and that RTX4070 can deliver way over 60 fps in those games.

my office desk is not that wide so i avoid curved monitors that have a thicker body and take more space than a flat monitor when pushed against the wall.

as for my desired 32" size im afraid that the 4K version, will be a more expensive than 250$, but i will check prices, thanks.

I was looking at PC Part Picker too & this LG cause my attention as well. I'd buy it. :)

If you want 32" (well, 31.5") here is an MSI G321Q for €303.95.
