As July comes to an end and we enter the month of August, we have a week of mixed releases where the major release appears to be a StarCraft clone of sorts, built by ex Blizzard developers. This is followed by a Diablo-ish game, a No Man's Sky clone of sorts, a game about a data ghost, a Star Wars remake, a very British game and finally a very gooey sequel. August should finally start bringing some bigger releases yet again, after a pretty slow summer of new game releases.

Stormgate / This week's major release / Tuesday 30 July / Early Access
Human defenders and their faithful robot allies stand defiant against two warring alien factions: a race of warlike demonic invaders and their technologically advanced angelic rivals. Together, these three are locked in a relentless struggle for dominance. Crafted by developers renowned for their work on StarCraft II and Warcraft III, Stormgate puts you in command of epic real-time strategy battles. Steam Link

Deathless / Monday 29 July / Early Access
Deathless is an online cooperative game in the Survival Roguelite genre. Enjoyed Vampire Survivors? Play it in 3D, with friends! Immerse yourself in a dark, engulfing world where you and your friends must battle hordes of enemies, attacking in waves every minute. Your survival depends on combining devastating spells, tactically using powerful weapons, and making quick decisions! Steam Link

Space for Sale / Tuesday 30 July / Early Access
Explore alien worlds, befriend their wildlife, and build the home of your clients' dreams! Solo or with a friend, use your wits and trusty tools to survive harsh uncharted biomes. Gather, craft, discover secrets, and rise to the top of the space property biz! Steam Link

Minds Beneath Us / Wednesday 31 July
Embark on a thrilling Sci-Fi journey in a futuristic Asian city in Minds Beneath Us. In a society fully automated by advanced AI, you're ensnared within a foreign body, accompanied by its original owner's subconscious. Together, face impending challenges and confront an uncertain destiny. Steam Link

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter / This week's remake / Thursday 1 August
In this classic third-person action-adventure, you'll become Jango Fett, Prime Clone of the Grand Army of the Republic, hired to capture a deranged Dark Jedi. Fight your way through the galaxy's underbelly, equipped with Dual Blasters, your Flamethrower, Whipcord, and pure Mandalorian Rage. Steam Link

Thank Goodness You're Here! / Thursday 1 August
Thank Goodness You're Here! is an absurd comedy slapformer set in the bizarre Northern English town of Barnsworth. As a travelling salesman, take the time to see the sights and meet the locals, who are very eager to give you a series of increasingly odd jobs… Steam Link

World of Goo 2 / Friday 2 August
A powerful company has re-branded as an environmentally friendly, sustainable, green, clean, Goo processing non-profit.Help them collect as much Goo as possible. But what do they really want? Explore a new story spanning hundreds of thousands of years and watch the world change.

The first world of goo was an absolute joy to play. It was masterfully crafted. Definitely going to play the second game, possibly in one long sitting.

I read somewhere that the first Goo had a budget of $10,000 and was made by 2 guys. It went on to 2 million dollars in sales and from what I remember it got a lot of really good feedback. Could be another hit. It's not coming to Steam. Only EGS or if you want all of the money to go to them then they have a web site set up.

I Kickstarted Stormgate so I'm obviously hopeful for it to turn out good! It was the co-op missions that sold me, I love a strategy co-op campaign I can play with a couple of friends.

Gee, guess why I linked to that site and why there was no link to steam?

What a shame. I would have been interested otherwise, but I don't want to give my money to EGS. I'll probably wishlist it anyway and wait for a massive discount.

How come I've never heard of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter until now? It looks like one of those oldschool SW games that I used to love. I'll definitely check it out.

I don't recall Bounty Hunter either but I'm not surprised. There have been over 100 Star Wars games released over the decades on various platforms. tbh it's probably just another forgettable entry in the sea of Star Wars mediocrity where only a few were really good. For a hardcore Star Wars fan it's probably worth a playthrough.

It was apparently a Gamecube/PS2 game. Could be decent, it's pretty cheap too (€20).

At least it's from the era when Star Wars was good. It's a positive sign.

Supposedly it's a remaster... Supposedly.

Ahaha at least they're honest about it :D

It would still be nice if it was available through GoG, one less account to remember. Probably when the contract with Epic ends
I'm not gonna buy anything other than the Alan Wake franchise on Epic, that's for sure. Either they'll release it on other platforms when the exclusivity deal ends, or they'll see no money from me. Simple.
