Buy/Sell/Trade/Giveaway Forum - Payment Question

Hello, I was told to post my question here.

Is PayPal F&F (Friends & Family) allowed on the Buy/Sell/Trade/Giveaway forum?

The rules say, "Demanding paypal via non CC is also suspicious", but not disallowed.
I also see the rules "gift payments" are not allowed.

Originally, the F&F was called a gift payment. I would suspect that asking for F&F is not allowed in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum.

However, one of the moderators or @W1zzard would be able to specifically answer that question more accurately.

I personally think it should be down to the two parties digression.

Having been scammed by somebody who wanted payment via paypal F&F. I wouldnt do it again.

However if there is strong trust between both parties then i dont see why F&F cant be used.

"Gift" payments are in effect the same as "Friends & Family" as only F&F is mentioned on the Paypal site (from what I can see), as you know these payments do not come with a fee but perhaps more importantly for B/S/T there is also no Purchase Protection, which is likely why they are not allowed.

I've been scammed once with Zelle on another forum (hacked account), but it's all a learning lesson so now I'm more diligent in vetting.

Clearly, it's against the guidelines, but we have no power to interfere in the final purchase. However, we strongly recommend avoiding F&F option as has been stated, it voids Paypal protection, and TPU is not liable for any losses incurred through fraud.
