Anime fans rejoice! Starforge Systems has teamed up with Crunchyroll-licensed IP GLOOMY BEAR to unleash a fierce new addition to their Limited Edition lineup. Featuring designs inspired by Japanese artist and writer Mori Chack's fan-favorite anime series, "Gloomy the Naughty Grizzly," this ultra-pink (and deceptively vicious) lineup includes a small form factor PC and case, desk mats and acrylic wall art featuring the naughty grizzly bear anime fans know and love.

GLOOMY BEAR diehards can choose from 6 unique acrylic wall art designs and 5 different desk mat designs to upgrade their desktops with adorable ferocity. Established in 2000, GLOOMY BEAR has amassed a fanbase around the globe, and includes a range of licensed products and collaborations with some of the top Vtubers in the world.

As the first PC line for the IP, the Starforge Systems GLOOMY BEAR PC comes bundled with a select GLOOMY BEAR desk mat and 12x18 acrylic wall art. Fans can purchase the case bundle, which also includes a select 90 cm x 40 cm desk mat and acrylic wall art. Pricing details for the Starforge Systems x GLOOMY BEAR line can be found below:
  • Limited Edition PC Bundle: $2,349.99
  • GLOOMY BEAR Case Bundle: $329.99
  • Desk Mats: $39.99
  • 12 x 18 Acrylic Wall Art: $49.99

The Limited Edition GLOOMY BEAR PC features an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super, Ryzen 5 7600X, and 32 GB of DDR5-6000 Ram, all in the small form factor Lian Li A4-H2O Case.

Are you sure it is licensed? The face on the case looks nothing like the teddybear on the poster, looks more like a counterfeit.

Not surprising with regards to the design. I know a couple of the creators are big time youtube content makers & are into anime. I think they put a lot more energy into designing that nasty looking theme than they did with the overall system design.

with the layout of the case, it wouldn't make much of a difference tbh. There's going to be a bunch of cables/the PSU in that area

You forgot to add the cost of licensing for adding a copyrighted theme to the case which is probably quite high for a low volume product like this + assembly cost (labor isn't cheap - people need to eat) shipping and handling to ship the thing to you + all of the accessories that they add which will in fact not fit just inside the case box, warranty + technical support for after the sale. Their margins are slimmer than you think for a unique product like this and TBH i think your being a bit unfair calling it expensive in a world were $1000-1500 is becoming the norm for a basic quality gaming pc. Think of it this way - If a custom boutique builder like maingear were to build something similar like this it would probably run closer to $3k. I'm all in for supporting a smaller SI like star forged they make good systems for a reasonable markup and provide excellent customer support (so I've heard), Are they really as bad as you make them out to be??

Very much all of this. SIs are a hop and a skip from a privately-commissioned custom build from a boutique shop, and with everything surrounding an SI's operations it makes total sense that it'll be a margin more expensive than DIY à la carte parting. The selling point has always been a system that works as intended OOTB and is backed by warranty and customer support; it's for non-enthusiasts that don't want to poke around their PC and find value in paying more for a less involved PC experience (and in this case, a theme/look that they like).
