Just had a hour ish on Sandland, it's pretty good, looks are kinda borderlands.
Did you end up finishing it? I dunno I probably launched it 20 times played for 5 minutes then closed it. It took a long time, but I think I'm finally hooked. I've played a ton in the last 3 days. Its pretty fun those tank on tank battles, and just collecting supplies.

And I don't even know who that is on the left there. I'm just passed the part where you find the legendary spring. On the 'go south till you can go south no more" quest.

Just from steam numbers... sales don't look too good :(

On the other hand... Bandai... this is great and all but what the hell is going on with Tales? We haven't had a Tales drought this long in ever... I don't think.

EDIT: Okay I guess the time between Berseria and Arise was 5 years which is technically longer. But that really was out of the norm. I bet people would be fine with some HD 2D type tales games, if development is too expensive or w/e.

I haven't played it a lot, but it is pretty good. If you did not know otherwise, it could be some sort of borderlands game, the look of it is so similar.

Almost done with NFS Most Wanted (PS2). I have the final dude left on Blacklist and need to finish the older races (and milestones), career completion at 77%.

Is that better than on the PC? Which was an awesome game btw.

Anyway in Diablo 4 I got a drop of legendary boots! Cool! It's just that I already have that pair of boots but with some different stats. When I realized that I Was Dissapointed, because that's not what legendary is supposed to mean and also like a third of my equipment is legendary at this point (lvl 40) so yeah. How drops work are much worse than D2, that's for sure, but I wonder if that follows with the overall game and world design.

PC > X360 > PS2 from my experience, the game is just as good on PS2 as with other platforms, but the visuals and framerate are horrible. And my favourite NFS without a doubt. :) Now racing against Razor, 3/5 races won already. Then I must escape the cops after that.

With widescreen mod etc. the PC version also runs nicely in 4K.

edit: The OG Xbox version is also fine, played it few times on my parents with my brothers' Xbox several years ago.

Thats because what you remember from D2 were Uniques, Legendaries in D4 is a different tier of gear used for different reasons.
Legendaries are used for Imprints/Aspects and they are basically rares with +1 Affix 'line' of roll on them. 'later on in the game they can also roll with Greater Affixes which is basically a higher value roll'
Uniques also exist in D4 with their different look and pre designed stats just like in D2 but here they can have build enabling skill changer effects on them. 'some are good some are meh, they actually reworked every single of them with the current update to make them more viable :)'
Some of the old Uniques from D1/2 also exist in D4 but in the form of Mythicals like Shako/Grand Father/Tyrael's Might and a few other but those are for the max level/end game players since they do have a fairly low drop chance. 'as of now the lvl 200 Über Bosses can drop 5 piece of random Unique and each of those have a 1.5% to be a Mythical'

Thank goodness for that. I sort of thought it was something like that, but I was starting to panic there a bit.

You really need to couple that with XXL maps for the best effect.

How do you freakin' stand this game? Its physics is both not realistic and completely unfunny. I like FlatOut 2 way more. Eh, only if I knew how to mod it, FO2 seriously lacks variety in tracks.
Not everything has to be a hardcore authentic simulator, I sometimes just like arcade style racing. It's like Carmageddon but without the peds/animals/cops/powerups.
FlatOut 1/2/3 are great too, in their own ways.

Yeah but even on XL I'm already heavy into the whack-an-AI-mole gaming conundrum. There's so many settlements to defend and micro around and the CPU is actually smart enough.

But damn, I hadn't played this in a while... just fired up a random generated XL map with 6 CPU opponents and its WILD how well the mechanics are executed. I played a lot of Songs of Conquest lately but that just doesn't compare in the slightest, the AI is near braindead in comparison. And the random maps generated too. The stuff generated in HOMM3 is masterpiece material, its super refined.

And, most importantly, without funny physics. Wreckfest is just too empty.

Reminds me more of a mix between dragon ball z and grand theft auto, kinda.

Carmageddon was the best. Used to find it hilarious how mangled your cars could get while still being able to drive them. Hahahaha. Been 20 years...still makes me laugh.

Heroes 3 was a pretty big thing in my childhood 'elementary school years', spent way too much time playing that game.
Probably the only turn based game I've actually liked next to Disciples 2 later on. 'same type of a game'

Currently I'm trying out some endgame Rogue builds in D4/Season 5 since its the first time I'm playing a lvl 100 Rogue and watching videos is not the same as playing the builds myself.
Farmed out most of the key Uniques with a very chill/simple gameplay but not the strongest Arrow Storm build. 'it can still kill the level 200 Über Bosses solo so its not THAT weak just compared to the top builds'
Tried out the Rapid Fire aka the Pissing/Urinating build for a bit:
D4RapidRoq1.jpg
Basically an Unique ring turns the arrows into explosive lobbed arrows with some area of effect damage. 'they aim where the mouse cursor is'
It is stupid strong that I will say but the gameplay yeah nah its way too clunky for my taste and its also rather heavy on having a good gear with the proper rolls to function well + also gotta follow a certain skill/buff rotation to get the most out of it and I just can't be arsed with that. 'yes I do like my lazy builds nowadays, theres a reason why I've played Sorc 3 times already:oops:'

Gonna respec to a different build now that uses basically the same gear so I can try it out w/o much investment. 'I wish respeccing wouldn't be such a pain in the ass in the game tho, could really use that damn Armory from D3 where I can switch between my saved builds with 1 click..'

Kingdoms of Alamur: Re-reckoning, didn't play the original back in 2012 but since the 2020 re-master was on a Steam Sale bagged it for the price of a coffee and a flapjack :) Only a couple of hours in but seems pretty good and by today's standard has a reasonably straightforward combat/skills/class system.

I just hope the next tales came brings back co-op. Also no dreaded 60FPS frame rate cap would be great.

Since Veilguard won't be worth a dime, I started playing Dragon Age Origins, it occurred to me I never actually touched any of its DLC :toast:

It works for you? I can't play for an hour without getting a crash and yes I've tried a laundry list of fixes. I was even considering emulating it on ps3 to get a more stable experience.

(and no I don't think its my cpu - all other games are stable....)

I'm also curious if you have issues and where you got your game as several people have had issues running it lately. It's up for a replay with me maybe next year.

If you like Action RPGs, this will scratch the itch. Excellent all around and the story is pretty good. It is huge too with lot's of Side quests.
