You get what you pay for.
agreed but that doesn't mean you can't find deals either. You can get a quality unit for a good price as well as over pay for a mediocre unit. Doing a bit of homework will always pay off.

what store are you shopping from? I'm not familiar with sites that distribute to Poland, but setting PCPartpicker on Germany (closest I can get) shows SeaSonic Vertex GX-850 for 143Euros.
Some others to consider (read reviews, etc.): Super Flower LEADEX VII XG 850, the SeaSonic Focus GX-850 ATX 3.0 version, be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850.

I had a couple TT PSU's over the years. Mine didn't hold up very well, but I was pretty hard on my stuff back then.

450w on the 12VHPWR is a bit weak too..

once again howework and paying off, if you mostly run top tier GPUs than 450w is weak and you need 600w on 12VHPWR. If you mostly run mid level cards than 450w on 12VHPWR is fine.

most of those multi rails were just single rails with splits, one would often need to get 1000w+ PSU for true multi rail design

in fact seasonic marketed a dual rail PSU that was never split, it was always single rail but no one notified the marketing people

I have a mid range card, and the card can do 400w. Not just talking about GPU power here. Board power is a thing too.

Yeah, that was devious marketing. True multi-rail involved total isolation between the rails - in effect, there were two (or more) power 12V supplies. Split rails different and most of those makers got called out for that misleading marketing too.

That said, I think we are drifting OT again.

@Bill_Bright , it's the old saying there are three types of people in the world. Those who can do basic arithmetic and those you can't do it.

The GF A3 suffers from cost cutting by thermaltake. Unless you specifically know which run the units come from, I would avoid them.
Yep got. Cost cutting. Just ask Boeing. That's why I don't fly on aircraft. < This argument on a PSU is short and f******* pointless. IMO Done here >

So I'm a bit surprised by the comments here because if the $160 limit is equivalent to 600 PLN then I'm shocked that the Deepcool PX850G isn't mentioned because it's 599 PLN (X-Kom, Morele) while being one of the best PSUs that Aris (hardwarebusters) has tested. I found a bunch of stores that had it at that price on Ceneo. I do agree that good alternatives include the be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850w (found it for 560 PLN on Komputronik) and the Cooler Master one, but I'm also surprised that the Thermaltake GF3 (not GF A3) isn't mentioned because it's slightly less performant than the deepcool model but is better than the be quiet! model and is 100 PLN cheaper than anything else on the list at only 510 PLN on Morele and Rozeteka. Plus all of these models have 12VHPWR cables (possibly not 2x6 connectors) and are 850w so "futureproofing" shouldn't be an issue since all of these can run the equivalent of a 4090 and high-end intel CPU. AMD cpus, minus something like a 7950X, would feasibly give you even more headroom and your 7600 non-x only uses 88w so that's even more reason to feel secure in getting an 850w.

Back in the day, TT, and a few others were heavy into multi-rail power distribution which turned out to be yet another marketing blunder. The theory "sounded" good. If one rail failed the other still provided power. Plus, the sales pitch claimed if one rail failed catastrophically, the components on the other rail would be protected from possible damage.

But what good is power to the graphics card if power to other major components on the motherboard died? Plus it meant the supply always had to keep in reserve, some power for each rail - effectively limiting available power where it might be needed. And multi-rail designs are more complex with more components, thus adding to the cost with more potential points of failure.

While it certainly is possible for a PSU to fail catastrophically and take out everything connected to it, that is extremely rare these days. This is especially so when you stick to the name brands as nearly every 1/2-way decent supply has excellent protection circuits designed specifically to cut output when any significant anomaly is detected.

Be quiet! still sells several multi-rail models claiming multiple small rails result in quieter operation. But frankly, with a bit of homework, finding a very quiet (or even silent - at least most of the time) single rail PSU from a quality maker is not hard to find.
It sounds like improving protection systems to handle failures would be a better solution than keeping MOST of the psu working in case of failure by splitting rails. A unit with 3 out od 4 rails working is still faulty and needs replacing, it's not like it can just keep your system operating as intended.

I overloaded my old Antec Neo 480, one side popped and I had to get a new PSU lol. Pretty sure it took out my Asus 939 board, can’t remember..

not following this example, is the OCP tripped on the split from the rail?
