Yeah it is a fairly pretty game some places. Specially at night with a lot of neon lightning up. But has been a long wait to get it to a stage where it is good play. first with the V2,0 that came last year and some improvement since, has made the game what it should have been at release almost 4 years ago.

My wife loved it right out of the gate but she doesn't watch trailers, doesn't read gaming media, and had a decently powerful pc at the time it came out to play it on.

Only had minor bugs and had to re load saves a couple times.

I on the other hand was mildly disappointed but really like it now.

I had a 3900X titan XP, 9900k 2080ti, and a 6700k 1080ti system...

Played well on both the 3900X and 9900k. It dropped under 60 on the 6700k system in parts though but honestly didn't play much on that system after patches rolled in.

It really warmed up my 9900k though like 89-92C although it was overclocked to 5.1ghz.

I had a friend over when I did the mission where you jump into the TV and he was blown away. Like Dues Ex I am stuck on that mission where you have to insert yourself into a military warehouse. Unfortunately a Katana does not work well against those mechs that are around the corner.

Yeah man, parts of that game are absolutely stunning especially considering it's City based which I feel is much harder to make impressive.

This helps a lot and should be pretty much mandatory install imo.

This guy's so good they used his work on Witcher 3 NG.

CDPR might have fumbled that release but deserve kudos to getting it where it's at today. Although we probably should have expected it the Witcher games all got awesome updates even back to the original with the EE version.
Good to see that mod is already out for Cyberpunk, I've used the HD reworked during my Witcher 3 playthrough and it worked just fine even on my at the time 4 GB RX 570 and it made the game look better for sure.

I've played and finished Cyberpunk like 1 and half year ago and I've barely had bugs only some minor non issue ones so the game was already plenty playable/enjoyable.
It ran surprisingly well ony my 12100F/3060 Ti with tweaked/optimized settings + RT Lights and Reflections on ultra with DLSS on Quality.

I do plan a second playthrough at some point maybe later next year when I might upgrade my GPU so that I can play with Path Tracing 'I don't need more than ~50 FPS on average to enjoy my games' and also I'm yet to play the V2.0 version so a fresh playthrough would be the best option.:)

205hrs ...

unlocked a bunch, farmed Ult Valby (already 1st reset lv36 for her)

Ult Bunny lv farming are easy as pie ... 14 wave for 1 to 24 for her 3rd reset

50 millions of the dmg done were purely electric boogaloo (yes the reference is fitting given the constant leg shuffle required to maintain 1000 electricity charge for her skills  )
since they changed the void reactor and outpost farming it's quite easier than right at the start :)

okay, it's grindy but grindy fun (except for Ult Valby Blueprint ... hard pyro is a pita ... never again ... i keep my @ss on normal map for now ) my 6th ult weapon is in the making (about 1:30 left :D )
tho most of them are kinda useless compared to Thunder Cage, Nazeistra Devotion, Sigvore's Proof and Forest Gaze, i rarely use Smithereens or Albion Cavalry gun

i'm not of that "caliber" ahah ... well i used almost all to speed up research

3400? keep them for boosts and useful things (well i farmed some of my catalysts and activators aside 1 or 2 ), if, like me, you prefer farming descendants (i made an exception for Ult Bunny tho  but given the pain of getting Ult Valby, now i know why i did  )
next for me is either Blair or Lepic ... i can't have a harem centered on Ajax... can i?

probably Lepic ... since i just finished Bunny's story (since i was playing Valby... i actually did not see you needed to use Bunny to defeat Pyro to advance her quest ... )
well that was a good story quest and the last cinematic was quite touching :)

at least now i can set my title to "Eternal Thunderbolt" ...

@kapone32 thanks for putting me on the Inquisitor Martyr trail.

It was 2 AM last night. Hooked. Still not sure how far the ARPG bits really go, but so far, this is great stuff. Has its own pace and soul, there are quite a few build options... 5 classes and ALL THOSE WEAPONS you'd want to have. Currently running and gunning as a Battle Sister with a bolt pistol and chainsword... and yeah. The visual/audio is close to Darktide in its grittiness, Boltguns are done extremely well, Lasguns, too... Melee feels a bit floaty though.

Funny how usable a 6c/12t X58 platform still is though their IPC is a light year away from modern CPUs. Still have a P6X58D-E, Xeon X5675 & 6x4GB set in a box. :)

Cat Quest is soon finished, I'll try to get the platinum trophy as well. Then I'll start the sequel as it was on PS+ as well. Didn't Epic give them as well some time ago?

Agree x58 was a surpringly long lived platform. I was on x58 for 12 years. Before going to zen 3.
I7 980X was at 4.4 ghz reałly close Ryzen 1600X performance.

Yep, I was confused with the positive reviews and you are right, the builds are crazy. I am using the Inquisitor and the different Weapons are a joy to use. I find the Eldar Missions to be the hardest but this Game is one of my "Odes to the Arcade" included in that is Redout2 but that is a completely different ball of wax. I have to finish it before SM2. I also love that you only get a limited number of chances to complete a Mission, adds nice Jeopardy to the encounter. Like any ARPG worth it's salt the Boss battles are great too.

Yeah the limited tries per mission is nice.

And then there is the destructible environment... I was genuinely surprised at the scope of that. Whole pillars and walls can come crashing down, you can perforate cover with your Boltgun... its amazing! Definitely underrated, and I haven't even scratched the surface proper yet.

I'm also growing into the way the game gives you skills (mainly through weapon sets/choices)... it reminds strongly of Guild Wars 2. The combined strength of several action bars is where the joy of itemization comes into play, and not so much by going through intricate talent trees. The talents you do upgrade are mostly passives.

Poor timing to ask this with a tv series coming and big Switch announcement today.

Yakuza 0 or Yakuza: Like a Dragon?

I've been trying to get into Arcade Paradise and not really getting the appeal. All day without doing a single job duty might not even be enough to complete a single arcade game goal.

Star Wars Outlaws2024-8-27-23-9-15.jpg

The little guy is super cute. he is always smiling. Not enough for 69,99

They did everything right with this one....except it's bad.

This was made by coders and great business analysts. Not by people that play games

1) BEST PC PERFORMANCE. It's impeccable.
2) Impressive mechanics and visuals everywhere
walk into a bar, the wind from outside moves the metal shades, offering sound and visual; npc's feel more alive than ever; light rays are next thing; clothing and hair actually move close to real life

3) This is STAR WARS without anything related to the force, the jedi, anything about start wars...expect it in that universe. A random female character with NO story....doing side quests for 3 main factions. Even if its main quest. its all side quest. NO dialog, no cutscene, nothing memorable. It's voice acting just for the sake of it.

the game starts boring. i am 10 hours in since launch ....NOTHING has happened. 10 hours of gameplay....:(

4) NON GENDARE characters. The main character is not a female. You can take the dead of the a GUY put it on top, you wont be able to tell. She is ugly, and so are the rest of the characters - woke culture
5) The puzzles are useless. And they know it. After making them, they deliberately added a OFF button in the menu

PERFECT PC game: accessibility, in-depth menu, very good performance settings, all key bindings special for PC, UI made especially for PC . Was made to be enjoyed fully on PC, except you wont like playing it

It's not woke culture, it's complaining culture :
see, even you , you don't like this "ugly girl" as you said ...
So what you like for main character ?
a sexy girl, a muscular guy, a badass woman ...
tell us, so we can complain about your choice

That's said, you've got a point here, maybe a character creation should be a standard for gaming now ...
Build the character you want, and everyone should be happy !

Slowly getting through game series that looked interesting I might wish to own. Not sure if Kiwami 2 was the game to start Yakuza with. One of the original Japanese market only games certainly was instead of first JRPG. Really entertaining mixture of elements so far. Including set up being full of drama over losing picture or crashing everytime you tab out or hit a combination of graphics settings it disagrees you should be able to use.

Wayyyyyyy overboard psychology profiling and really strange choices made in sequence with some very narrow minded ideals are easy to find disagreeable without caring to put a very scientifically exacting reasoning behind it. Simply that it is offensive to your intellect and being.

There are some really good character creators out there that work really well for certain types of games.

Don't push it too much.
I'm playing games with every characters dev' thrown at me and i'm not complaining.
As far as I know, a good or bad character doesn't ruin a gameplay.
As a gamer I believe : gameplay > rest
Some people complains about characters in game here and there, not me.

That's said, I've tried the Yakuza series on PS2, it was fun.

I view this is a plus because then I don't have to tread into the shithole called Uplay and Ubisoft's policy of killing online games when they feel like it. Corporate solving my first world problems for me, I love it.

Nothing of value was lost to me

I wont lie, the very first impression I had from the picture in this post was that you were modding Starfield. Seriously...

It's not woke culture, it's complaining culture :
see, even you , you don't like this "ugly girl" as you said ...
So what you like for main character ?
a sexy girl, a muscular guy, a badass woman ...

I don't really think its about 'ugly' or not, its more the 'look at me, dead inside' vibe going around all of these tweaked characters. I gotta say, Horizon's latest installment was a pretty successful tweak, imho, but this? Might as well be playing a zombie game here, honestly. Its everything. She has no facial expression other than 'I guess you're playing me through Outlaws, okay, let's have no fun together'. Just one look and you know this character isn't going to go through any meaningful progression in the game, she isn't going to impress you, surprise you, and you're not going to truly connect with her either.
