Atiflashing: RX 470 identifies as 570

Last thread was about me having issues with atiflash when I want using the right version, that's solved now

I purchased a mining 470 8gb to flash back (I don't know the actual model of the card it's just generic I guess?)
I had flashed a good amount of RX 470 8gb vbioses on it and every time got no display from the 1 hdmi port, until I checked the device manager. It believes it's an RX 570 series. It used to think it was an Asus rx 570 series, I used ddu twice and then view all in device manager and uninstalled the GPU drivers, and disabled wifi. Now it says it's an AMD RX 570. I've gone through multiple RX 470 vbioses and each reboot it still says it's a 570 including in gpu-z. So I guess my question is

There's no actual way it's a 570 8gb right?

And how do I stop this from happening? Thanks!

570 are pretty much the same as 470. Maybe you did get a 570? Pictures of the card would help with its identification.

It doesn't work yet lol I have yet to find a vbios that will make it display

If your 470 feels like a 570 you should let it! It is important to let people, animals and things identify as whatever they want, or so I have heard I have a 4070 that identifies itself as a 4090, I have tried to talk to it about inflated self-esteem etc, but it won`t budge

I had the same E353 bios as him and I just sent him a message

Is there any chance of an unverified bios existing that would give me video output with this SSID E353 or no? Should I give up as well and go buy a different mining 470?

Sorry if im very late for this, but unfortunately it was a hardware related issue.

I mailed Sapphire China and they send me the original vbios for this card.

I will upload it when i got home.

I meant give up on getting the non mining bios though, if that's what he was trying to to do originally

Hi everyone.

As i told u in the pm, you are attacking the wrong problem as i read your post.

You dont get image not because of the vbios, but because these cards have some smd (2.2ohm resistances missing).

Once you solder these you can get image, THEN and only then you can start to mess with the bioses.

If you get clocks, temp measures, voltage regulator readings then you are ready to go, the best way is to test it with another output and use it to render a game or give it some load to see if it crashes.


I do this jumps to get image as i dont have 2.2ohm resistances

Stop buying mining edition cards is what I suggest, go get a Nitro or Pulse
