His Seasonic at best is semi-modular (G12 GM), at worst it's fixed (G12 GC). I don't think there's much to swap here.

In my experience Gigabyte GPUs are overheating due to an uneven application of Thermal paste on the GPU. When you open the card about 30% of the GPU will be exposed with no thermal paste. The first card I saw it with was the Vega 64 Gaming OC. That card had so many bad reviews because of that issue that it drove Gigabyte into the cheapest slot for that card. It was confirmed for me when I bought the 6500Xt Gaming OC and saw the exact same issue.
