This is not true. There is always a "sweet spot" where the PSU is the most efficient and it is usually around the mid-point somewhere.

Some psu's draw alot when starting up too. I read that some people have had issues with the initial draw of the enermax galaxy psu.. (Im getting one, hope it dont have issues with my house wiring lol).

and damuta could actually use one of theses, he uses pelters elc in his works and he would prob go quad x-fire down the road!
