Specs
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
  • 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Motherboard - TGL Countryman_TLS

  • Goal: Under volt pc to fix throttle issue.
  • Roadblocks: Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit cannot identify bios.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My PC is underperforming, so I checked the CPU temperature using HWiNFO and saw red temperatures along with signs of throttling. I ran into an issue where the Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0 couldn't identify the BIOS Any suggestions?

Temps aren't horrible, but could be improved. It may be time to pull it apart, clean out the dust and repaste the CPU/GPU.

My laptop is also from 2021. I actually pulled it apart just last night to apply PTM7950 and I was a bit surprised to see that there was very little left of the original thermal compound from the factory.

Nothing indicates over heating, as I stated previously.
